I am relieved that they gave me a call to work things out. I started seeing someone here after husband died. I have tried their medications and was excited to try spravato. I needed ADA title IX forms for work so that I could miss work whenever I was having a mental health day or if I needed to come in for those treatments. Apparently, in very small print on their website, they say that they do not do any disability forms which I think is really absurd when you have a mental health condition that's considered to be a disability. This was a massive waste of my time because now I'm starting back over to find a psychiatrist. I would not recommend them to Anyone.

I was pushed into ever escalating levels of care, different group therapies and different depression intervention treatments. Over the years, I started to realize that the extent of my "care" was just pushing me to mask harder and to ignore my trauma as something that would be figured out later. The scheduling was all over the place, I'd be assigned appointments I didn't know I had, and I was shuffled from one group to the next, my medication was changed every week or every two weeks. They'd push me in circles, questioning my diagnosis. They erroneously added diagnoses to my personal information, while neglecting to properly add the correct diagnosis. They asked me to get a psychological assessment because it would better inform them of an appropriate treatment plan, then the week after, they told me I didn't need it because it wouldn't impact my life, and we'd just choose the best treatment based on outcome. Then two weeks later, they were back to questioning my diagnosis and asked why I didn't get the assessment. They repeatedly recommended treatments to me that they themselves said weren't safe or appropriate for me. In short, they're disorganized, and want you to fit their specific model of healing. I'm sure some people have had great outcomes, but I did not, I have not, and I'm mourning the years I spent being gaslit. They've got a shiny new building, but it doesn't make up for their lack of organization.

The impression the front desk team gives is that patients are interrupting their work, not the source of the work / their jobs. Maybe they are over worked? It seems like they are answering the phones, calling insurance companies, billing, collecting co-pays, checking in all the patients plus selling the nutritional supplements. Frequently there is only 1 person behind the desk, as opposed to the 2 that is probably needed. I leave letters for the doctor when I can't speak directly to them. That way I know the important information hopefully is communicated accurately / completely the first time.

A week prior to my appointment they began to call me to complete the online forms, I completed yet still received calls. They then stated they would cancel my appointment if I didn't complete one specific form, but my documents showed complete. I spoke to an admin who confirmed this document is hard to locate. Therefore confirming they would cancel my appointment due to an issue on their end. I received several appointment confirmations and called the day prior to ensure we were all set and they had what they needed. They confirmed yes. The day of my appointment, I received 3 miss calls from them that they need my credit card on file. I went into the office and they took my credit card details even prior to checking me in. Once they charged my card, I was notified the doctor they made me the appointment with was not in office therefore it be virtual but I'd have to take time out of my day to come back. I was then put into a room at the office to join the doctor virtually. I didn't get a link but I got a credit card charge. I was forced to walk out with a $200 charge, no medication and even more anxiety! The admins made it clear this office has a scheduling issue. If you feel the need to call people 10+ times prior to an appointment, I recommend confirming if the doctor is even available.

With a little research, we found board certified Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Shelley Byrd. Making an appointment was easy. Her office is located inside a Yeager building. You haven't experienced a stimulating environment until you've entered a Yeager building. Meeting Ms. Byrd was refreshing. First impressions meant everything to our daughter. She is young (anyone near 30 is young to us, lol). She is uniquely in touch with this generation and understands their stress. A huge plus for us. Our daughter definitely has a connection with her. Finding someone she could trust was so important. The dialogue between them is open, honest and upfront. And at each appointment, they set mutual goals together. And of course, educating me on her diagnosis and treatment plan is always part of the conversation. We've been under Ms. Byrd's care for over two months now and our daughter is on board and cooperating. Ms. Byrd's clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders.
