But I checked with the insurance on what kind of…read morecoverage I would have for a comprehensive evaluation and if they used code D9310 for billing my insurance would cover 80% of the $250 charge. I called 2 times and informed billing about the code and when I went to my appointment I made it clear I didn't want to have the evaluation if they used another code. I was told on the phone and at the appointment they would use that specific code. When I want to pay the bill at checkout they told me total bill is $445. I had to pay out of pocket and they would send to my insurance company. The other charge was for Radiographic imaging. I thought everything was part of the evaluation but I paid it thinking the insurance company would pay 80%. They did not use the code number I gave them for billing and out of $445 charge the insurance company only paid $66. When I called billing about this matter they said they don't use that billing code I questioned why 3 times they told me they do and gave them the code each time. This was a problem for me due to being out of work from surgery and didn't have a lot of money to spend for a consultation. I feel I was lied to and not properly informed about the additional charges for the Radiographic. Needless to say I will not go back for the second consultation to discuss what dental procedures they recommend.

I was very impressed with my first visit but be forewarned. A new patient appointment takes well over an hour as they get to know you and your teeth. They are very professional and thorough and it feels like a spa treatment instead of going to the dentist. They offer warm blankets, weighted blankets, headphones, essential oils, have a massaging dental chair - whatever you need to make you comfortable and at ease. While the dental hygienists do the majority of the work (with state of the art equipment I might add!), the dentist is still very hands on and takes the time to really listen to you, your concerns, goals, routine etc. Dr Adams was a pleasure to work with. I've now been here several times, for routine and not so routine stuff. They accept my Aetna dental plan and give you an estimated out of pocket figure before any work is done. To my adventage they've always estimated high so I got refunds. Staff has always been a pleasure to work with and the practice is housed in a beautiful, historic old brick home. Parking can be a bit tight as the building also houses a daycare that share the lot, but never impossible. A must for anyone who has a fear of going to the dentist, although I don't, but believe they will be super sensitive to your needs.

I received a bill from Benco last year for this supply bill and promptly called them and informed them that it was incorrect since I had been retired from dentistry for over 8 months and the purchases were from 4/23. The accounting person I talked to told me she would take care of it. Well she didn't and they sent me out to a collection agency and subsequently the attorney got involved. I hope to get this matter cleared up but at this point the Benco person I contacted who told me she would get back to me two days ago by the end of the day has yet to make things right. I have not dealt with Benco since around 2010. I just don't think this is not a nice way of treating a former client.

After finding out they mishandled my paperwork and going a week of hearing nothing about scheduling a consultation with their surgery team, a friend recommended I try Conestoga. I called Conestoga on a Wednesday, had a consultation with an oral surgeon for my tooth the next day, and the tooth was out the following Wednesday. The kicker? The oral surgeon (super guy) gave me local anesthesia and had the tooth out in 60 seconds...no broken root, no pain at all. My experience was great from the first person I spoke to on the phone, to the dental techs, to the surgeon. I recommend calling Conestoga for any major dental work.
