Taking a star away after my latest visit. The massage by Lucy was great. The problem is the massage tables. They are old, in disrepair and need to be replaced. The tables have very little effective padding. I liken the comfort to an army cot. My arms fell asleep when hanging over the edges as they were pressed against the hard frame that isn't protected by padding. The head/face rest fell several times and I was taken to a different cubicle. Same thing in there with the very uncomfortable massage table. They are small and they are not padded well. I am sure that over the years that the padding effectiveness has deterioted with use. I had to ask Lucy for extra toweling to protect my mouth from hitting the steel rod underneath the openning of the head/face rest. I didn't want my lips touching this part of the equipment that was probably being touched by other lips. I will not return until I am certain the tables have been updated. So sad to see what was once a good place for a massage go downhill the way that it has. In addition, the lack of an English speaking person in the establishment is another problem. Lucy had to call someone who spoke English, I had to talk to that person and tell them what Lucy needed to know and then Lucy got the info from them. read more

This is a good spot for an affordable, quality massage. The first time I went here it seemed a bit shady but it isn't; I promise! I bought a 45 minute massage. I entered my small massage cubicle (surrounded by 3 walls and a curtain) and waited just a moment before my massage master entered. I received a full body massage - head to toe. It was extremely relaxing and comfortable. The only downfall was that, just as I was falling into a near-comatose state of relaxation, the massage masters were talking to each other (actually more like shouting). One took my husband to get his massage, the other lady disappeared in the back after motioning for me to wait. I was waiting for 15 MINUTES and no one came to take me in the back. Use to be my go to place, inexpensive, respectful, good massage. There were a bunch of them all over Bergen County. I usually went to the one in Maywood but now the prices have gone up and it seems like new owners. I saw online that in August of 2019,one of the employees was busted for having a little side action. I'm bummed, I went there for years and was never asked " You want more massage" . Oh well , I'll try the one in New Milford. The secret is to go first thing when they open or dinner time. read more

Update (5/15/19 ): recently just visited. Had a great massage. However this time I paid in card instead of cash. I was charged merchant fees on top of the massage. No big deal, the same thing happens at the gas station. However I gave a 20% tip (which is standard) on the massage not the extra $5 fee that I was charged because that was not part of the service. I was then told my tip was not enough and was demanded to give more. NOT only is is EXTREMELY rude to ask for more of a tip, a tip is A tip and not the slightest bit mandatory. Nonetheless If they only take cash for tips there should be a sign. I will NEVER be returning. read more

Small establishment located in the Brookchester Shopping Center (between CVS and stationary store). The masseuse cared about my comfort and asked about focus points, pressure, heat (from wet towels after massage), etc. Cons: 1. Located in busy shopping center. You could hear people talking as they walked by the store front. Not to mention car alarms in the parking lot and River Road traffic. 2. English is not the staff's language, you have to so be specific and may have to repeat yourself to be understood. 3. Since the store is so small, even whispers can be heard from the back room. FYI: I got a 60 min full body and feet massage. You're to strip down to everything but undies. There are hangers in each room for your stuff and a mirror to check your makeup, hair, drool, on your way out. :) Full body is from head (included scalp and face) to toe. This massage place rocks!! Lisa gave me such a great massage I couldnt wait to give a great review. I used to live in California and i'd go for a massage every week. I know it sounds bougie, but the reality of it was because a one hour thai massage in so-cal was 50 bucks. I never thought id see the day where this existed again! And now I know where i'll be going. An hour and a half massage for 75 bucks is unheard of around here! Besides the great price, and the amazing massage, the place is clean (nothing too frilly) and they really make you feel like royalty. My favorite part of the massage is the end when they massage your face and sinus pressure points-- heaven! I definitely recommend!!! read more

This is one of those massage places where you are basically paying for someone to just apply lotion. There was no actual working of the muscles to relieve tension. She didn't touch my neck or shoulders. I had to repeatedly attempt to pantomime what I wanted since no one spoke ANY English. I think this might be one of those "special" massage places... Or some other kind of seedy front. It IS right next door to a bar... Oh well, I won't go there again, and I recommend you save your money. read more

First timer. Went here to get a back and shoulder massage after seeing a chiropractor for weeks and the tension wouldn't subside. The massage was OK but it was a little difficult to communicate with the 2 ladies who were working that day. When the massage was over I got dressed and left my tip on the table for the masseuse. She then met me outside by a water jug and handed me a small cup of lukewarm water. When i went to pay for my service I was asked for "tip". I didn't like that. I told her i left it in the room but she didn't understand. I had to go back in the room to bring her out the tip I had left. I can't say if i'll be back or not. read more

Affordable? Yeah. But listen.. the lack of communication thats been stated in each and every one of these reviews is not an exaggeration. These people don't know how to communicate at all. I came in with a friend today hoping for a nice 45 minute massage but we were immediately greeted with "NONO only massage for one!" What?? This woman turned down a customer as soon as they walked in? Thats crazy. Then she proceeded to tell us to come back in 45 minutes so that both of us would be accommodated. Guess what? We came back in 45 minutes and we were greeted with the SAME response, "Oooh.. no 45. Only massage for one!" Whatever. We left. If you're looking to argue with someone who doesn't understand how to communicate with customers, lay your naked body on some old/cheap/uncomfortable massage tables, and experience overall subpar service this is the place for you! read more

Went back here after a while. Good service moderately priced. Clean calm atmosphere. However the two staff members working today could not understand or speak barely any English. Most of my communication was thru pointing and simple yes or no?! Frustrating to say the least. They need to have at least one staff member who can translate Chinese/English. And the Reflexology advertised a free herbal foot soak after foot massage. They called someone to translate who said "We don't have that today, next time free". Hope so. I have been here a few times. No frills or pampering but it gets the job done. It is wonderful if like a deep, hard, massage which takes out those stubborn knots. After having painful knots in my shoulders and shoulder and neck pain, I was relieved and satisfied when I left from here. read more

I had a killer head/ neck pain that I couldn't bare with anymore so I went in. This is in a plaza by my apt complex and always saw it passing by. After hearing good reviews from a Near by nail salon and not baring the pain anymore I went in and got a 45 minute massage . At first I wanted to blare out cracking up because I did feel like a meat being tenderized but after a while it just felt great. She beat the crap out of my back but took all the knots out . With the line of work I do I defiantly will be back . The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because of the chatter that happens while your massage is going on. I have low back pain and it was really bothering me so I decided to try this place after seeing it and reading the favorable reviews on Yelp. It is in a strip mall with food places, CVS, and other small shops. This place looks like a Chinese food establishment actually. As other reviewers said, you are not in a private room and during my massage, the therapist did answer the phone and it was somewhat annoying, but it was one of the best massages I've ever had. It was thorough, her massage technique was wonderful, and she felt exactly what was needed. I had the full hour full body massage and the relexology part at the end was amazing. I didn't want her to stop! This is the real deal when it comes to massage therapy. I felt like this place knows its stuff. Very good massage but not the place to go of you want that relaxing spa like feel. I removed two stars, -1 for giving me about 30 seconds to undress then poking their head in to see if I was ready and -1 for talking to the other masseuse during my session.
