Dr. Kimberley encouraged me to take some extra lab tests (blood, saliva) so we could be certain about what may be causing my symptoms. I have gone to other naturopaths who do little more than guess at the cause of symptoms (for example, one naturopath treated me for candida overgrowth, but the blood test I did with Dr. Kimberley shows my candida as healthy). This ensures that I am spending my time and money focused on the right things to get me feeling great! I'm feeling better than I have in years, and this is primarily due to diet. Dr. Kimberley has developed her own meal plan, along with weekly grocery shopping lists, and not only is the food amazing, but it has me feeling amazing too!

I am in my mid twenties and for the last 4 years I have had a lot of fatigue. I had met with my…read morefamily Dr. on a few different occasions to talk with her about it, she helped by changing some prescriptions and trying some supplements. That just didn't seem to help the problem. so I decided to seek out someone who may be able to help me in a natural way, that was when a friend recommended Dr. Gaul. I was told by my friend that it was tough to get into see her, but when I called it was only a week wait. So that seemed like a good start to me! The receptionist sent me a 16 page client information form to fill out. It felt like I was writing a book about my life, everything from dental work to what my fears are! It was definitely the most in depth form I have or probably will ever fill out! I faxed it back to the office so that the Dr. had time to review it before our appointment. Finding the office was a bit difficult, the sign is hard to see. So I ended up parking a couple blocks away and walking to find it. There is a parking lot for the building, which I recommend using. The office is nice and dim, I felt very relaxed sitting in the waiting room. They have a little play area for kids. There is also lots of information around about the therapies they do at the clinic. You can even sign out some of the books they have. It was very quiet when I was there, I'm pretty sure I was the only patient. Dr. Gaul is very friendly, she introduced herself and we went into her office to chat. We talked for about an hour, going over my forms. At the end she seemed pretty confident she knew what the issues where and explained to me what she thought. She took me into another room to do an autonomic response test, which I can't really explain. She was testing the response of my organs, pretty much. After the test she talked with me about the recommended treatment and plan for the next 4 months. I can not say enough about how nice it was to have someone listen to me, I didn't feel like I was crazy for not having a physical illness causing my problems! I felt so comfortable with Dr. Gaul, she was very conversational! As a follow up I returned after my 4 months and my fatigue was still an issue. I had improvement in other areas of my health so I knew something was working. She did another test on me, this time related to emotional storage. She told me that she had never seen so many conflicting issues on all levels as I had. That kinda threw me for a loop! She chatted with me a bit, explaining what that meant and perhaps why I would have that going on. It began to make sense to me. She started me on a homeopathic treatment, layer by layer. She again seemed confident that we would sort things out soon. I have started the treatment and have been on it for 2.5 months now. It was a rough start, I was an emotional wreck for a few weeks, but I can honestly say that I feel better! I do really feel that after 4 years I am on the right track! All thanks to Dr. Gaul! The appointments are quite pricey, almost $300 for the initial visit, so this is an investment in ones health. Its not like you go back every month, so in retrospect it isn't bad. The supplements and homeopathic remedies are another expense, approx $50-75 a month for me, which I know could be worse. I highly recommend that people like me, who are starting to feel lost or like you are stuck, in regards to your health, should give Dr. Gaul a chance to help you. I myself know it was a good decision, maybe it will be for you too!

Like I do with my hairstylists, I hop around to different massage therapists, because they never do quite what I want, even if I give them guidance. Well, I can say I'll be settled for a while. Not only is the location convenient (Scotia Centre), they are available for lunchtime appointments. My therapist was Amber K. She was very professional, and asked me what I wanted to be worked on, and what issues, or injuries I had. I told her I have issues with my back from sitting at my desk, as well as my feet from excercise. Not only did she get directly to where was hurting me, and loosened it up, she also provided suggestions on how to avoid more pain, and reasons why I could be in pain based on my description of how it hurt. At first she didn't talk much, but the more I spoke, the more she engaged me - which is how I feel it should be. If I talk -you talk, if I don't -you don't. Prices are $80 per hour flat fee, which is slightly below standard fees downtown.

Worst experience of my life. Chantelle is unprofessional, careless, lacks knowledge and is a…read morepill-pusher. I went to her initially for food allergy testing, my first appointment she prescribed Estrosense maximum dose and Multi-Glyco, which she said would help me with my hormone and sugar levels and that she prescribes this to all women. One month later, she prescribed a new supplement for energy levels and failed to realize she prescribed me something I was allergic too. She had the results of my food allergy test, and did not verify the supplement had contents that I was allergic to. Probably because she was too occupied complaining to me how COVID was inconveniencing her privileged life and affecting her sons' elite hockey practices (perhaps I should have reminded her people are losing jobs during COVID). I broke in a whole body rash after taking 2 doses of the new supplement. When I informed her, she said it could not have been the new supplement, (likely because she was avoiding responsibility that she prescribed me something I was allergic to), and said it was the Estrosense that I was on for a month. My rash worsened and overwhelmed my body, and developed into a Staph infection, so I had to take myself to the hospital ER on Boxing Day, where I was prescribed antibiotics and topical creams. When I informed Chantelle I had to go to ER, she made it all about her, and would not stop harassing me with emails and calls to cover her ass, playing dumb like she did not know what caused this, implying that I did not follow her directions and continued with something I was not supposed to, insensitive to the fact that I was suffering this infectious rash. Sending me passive aggressive emails such as " I've been practicing for 20 years. I've seen thousands of clients and I've honestly never had anything like this happen before. If it was the product, I can definitely tell you that I've taken that into consideration and I'm happy to remove it from my formulary going forward. I just think that with the nature of the reaction that it might be related to something that you're still doing and I want this rash to stop for you" I never had this type of severe allergic reaction before I went to Chantelle. I am still struggling with the rash, which seems to react to any trace amount of something I am allergic too, for example even a bit of black pepper in a spice seasoning. I am now awaiting an appointment with a dermatologist to prescribe me strong oral steriod (which is not great for your body). Prior to seeing her I was on no medications, and now I am more pharmaceuticals than I have ever been on. She also tends to rely on some arbitrary computer program that scans your hand and diagnose all your organs. I have seen other Naturopaths before and never seen this BS computer program. If it actually worked, than I am sure the entire medical community would use it. Other Naturopaths rely on their examination, observation, interview of your medical history and issues, to figure out what is wrong with you. She informed me that she prescribed me the general protocol she gives to everyone, which is contradictory to the principles of naturopathic medicine, which looks at the wholistic picture of an individual and not seeing them the same as others. I advise you to seek another Naturopath and also extensively research them before you visit. I learned that from this experience AB does not regulate naturopaths. This experience has ruined my life the past few months and really screwed up my body. In this case ND stands for NOT A DOCTOR. Unfortunately, the review requires you to enter a rating, so I selected 1 star but I advise you to run the other way.
