The patient is in long term dementia care and is not mobile and so a home visit was the only option. Was promised a call back with an appointment when "the schedule for home visits is finalized". Five weeks later I phone to find out when this call back would materialize. The receiptionist hummed and hawed and finally admitted she had forgotten all about my call. That was Friday. Today (Monday) I got a call from the technician who advised home visits were no longer available because he is only on site in Nanaimo three days a week when he drives up from Victoria. When I asked why no one had communicated with me around all of this his first words were that I didn't have to do business with Beltone. First intelligent thing I've heard from this bunch. So.....my impression - -the advertising of home visits is false, the Nanaimo satellite is only manned by a technician three days a week and the opinion of this organization is they are doing you a favour by allowing you to be a customer. My advice, do as I am doing, run, not walk to another provider. This one has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - and apparently sees nothing wrong in advertising a service they don't provide.
