My personal favorite is the jewelry, they often have some very eclectic items! Keep in mind the inventory is often changing, so if you see something you LOVE, you might want to buy it on this vacation. I spotted a sign in the store stating they will ship to 48 of the states. His work is phenomenal - definitely among the best Cape Cod painters for my money. We always stop in whenever we're on the Cape to see the new works - they never disappoint - classic Cape Cod scenes beautifully rendered and very reasonably priced. The gallery is owned and operated by the artist's daughter Heather so you can be assured of the provenance/authenticity and learn as much as you want to know about the works. Watch your head on the way in though, the front door is tiny (which is fun too)!

I purchased a book and unfortunately either in the store or during the stroll it was misplaced. I retraced my steps and couldn't find it. It was a special gift. I went back to the store to see if someone had turned it in. I explained the situation to a gentleman who I believe is the owner. He graciously offered to replace the book at no cost to me. What an early Christmas gift.

And in this bright green, columned shop near Chatham Lighthouse, is the spot to load up on all the crops the farm has to offer. Bibb lettuce to root vegetables, begonias to string beans - whatever's popping up from the well-tilled earth is being sold from these shelves. Oddly, there's also a toy corner, trinkets and baubles for touristy purchases (my shirt has a lighthouse on it!) and a side room serving as a local art gallery. Peculiar? A bit. Unique? Perhaps. Contributive towards the homey vibe? Definitely.* Just like the farm, the retail location is staffed by folks with special needs (mainly students from nearby Chatham High). Unlike the farm, this piece is air conditioned. The Docents gave us a very thorough historical tour of the Atwood house…read more Very well preserved and curated museum and former home of the Atwood family who settled in 1752, when Joseph Atwood decided to marry and raise a family after a lucrative career as sea captain importing goods from the Caribbean and England. Fact: Joseph Atwood's career at sea began at the age of ten years old which was normal at the time. The main house, built in the mid-1700's, continued with the original family in residence through the 1930's. Sold to the local historical association in the 1950's, the museum houses diverse exhibits on so many aspects of Cape Cod culture. The docents show great knowledge and enthusiasm. Well worth the hour or so and the reasonable admission.
