Heart and Pride Muay Thai is a gem of a gym. Im so thankful to EVERYONE here! Hp Muay Thai atmosphere is so positive and Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. I've literally struggled with weight all my life but now I look forward to coming to class and learning from the badasses here. Muay thai is something i didnt know i needed until i tried it and now it is a part of me. I love it here! From the moment I went in (during a free trial), Fanny, a coach, made sure I was taken care of and she had Kru Mike help me with my intro class. He is great always smiling and laughing. I instantly felt like part of the family, even though muy thai was absolutely new to me. I'm now being taught mainly by Kru Ben he is a bad ass super passionate and patient about Muay Thai frankly everyone is so passionate here! Kru Rob mainly trains in the mornings but man he is another passionate talented fighter! Kru Mickey ty for your amazing team and gym! Thank you to the entire team at HP Muay Thai You've all helped to transform my life for the better! I highly recommend you try this gym!!!! I encourage everyone to step out of our comfort zone try something new you never know what may happen. Now i look forward to training with 10 x world champions.

I started my Muay Thai journey here at HP in October 2019 when I started working in Ontario. This school leads with respect & integrity, and honors the values of traditional Muay Thai. HP has great instructors (the Krus) and management (Fanny). Unfortunately, due to COVID, I had to leave the gym because I ended up working from home and no longer driving to Ontario (50min drive) every single day. Fast forward to 2021, I started training again but at a different gym near my area. Despite, no longer training at HP, we continue to keep in touch and they always make me feel welcomed whenever I visit. It always feels like HOME. This is the school I will always recommend. Amazing place, amazing people, amazing teaching. Also, Saenchai visits this place every year

Heart and Pride is a very special place to me. I have met many friends and have had amazing experiences that I will never forget. I got into the best shape I've ever been by training with spectacular teammates and coaches. The people and atmosphere are what make HPMT great. The instructors are very interactive and professional. You will find a lot of talent and people willing to share. The facilities are excellent with plenty of mat space, a full ring, bags, weights, everything you need to train. I had my first fight and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

5 weeks ago, I decided on a whim to join a Muay Thai gym. I have had an interest in MT for some…read moretime, but my martial arts experience was limited to about 3 years of Taekwondo from ages about 9-11 or so. There was lots of weekly sparring and I even competed in a tournament. That said, it was a very daunting task to mentally accept that I would effectively be starting from zero, or close to zero, as an adult. After searching around, I decided to contact a few gyms online. The only one that responded was Supreme Striking Martial Arts. My main priority was finding a gym local to me and this was it. Reviews seemed good, so I decided to try out a Muay Thai class at 7pm a few days later after being in contact with the Coach. I showed up and was immediately greeted by Coach Rob, a professional championship-winning Boxer and Muay Thai practictioner, and the assistant coach Kris. Good start, because I was nervous as hell. After signing waivers, Coach Rob had me go stretch with everyone else. Fortunately, I know how to stretch and have done other types of sports/ sport training. Once the class started, I was thrown on the grill, so to speak, just like everyone else. There was no separation because I was a beginner. I was in it with everyone else, which was simultaneously nervewracking but also pretty cool. It instills a sort of "learn as you go" dynamic. Coach Rob would give instruction and everyone would follow. I would look around and try to mimic the others. Coach Rob would come around and give everyone pointers. He also has no problem repeating the instructions or showing us again if we ask. After my first training, I was dead. But yet, I felt so alive. It triggered something inside of my mind. "I get now", I said to myself. I now get why people are so crazy about martial arts. Not only is it a physical battle, but a mental one as well. Your main rival is actually not the person in front of you, but the person in the mirror, yourself. At the end of the first training, Coach convinced me to do Boxing as well. I am now in my 3rd week here. I've been doing about 2x Muay Thai and 1x Boxing per week. I am also now doing home Shadow Boxing/light training + stretching and some cardio either on the road or the treadmill to supplement what I am learning. During my training, I have had flashbacks of when I was a child training and sparring in Taekwondo. Good feelings, to be clear. After 3 weeks, I can say that Coach Rob and his Assistant Kris are very down to earth, approachable, humble people. I get the sense that Coach Rob is very grateful and appreciative of each one of his students. He is genuinely happy to be there and happy to teach. Kris is also good at running the trainings if Coach Rob isnt there and he is very helpful as well. Also, I like the vibe of the gym. The people who train there are also generally cool and very helpful to me as a beginner. I have also learned a lot from them. Egos are checked at the door. It is not a large gym, but the people who train there consistently are generally always there and everyone takes the training seriously, even if there are moments of laughter. I think it is important to "feel a part of" a place like this and I certainly do. There is good comraderie. They welcomed me , an adult beginner, to their team. Now I can say I am apart of the Supreme Striking Team, the people who I train with are my Teammates, and Rob is my Coach and Teacher. Eventually, as I get to know everyone better, these people will also become my friends. I am grateful to have found Supreme Striking Martial Arts.

You'll notice right away that the gym and equipment is new and constantly cleaned and sanitized. They're also currently in the process of expanding and we can't wait to see the new additions to the gym. All the coaches are legit studs and their knowledge is second to none. The head coach Alex is a UFC vet and his assistant coaches Dylan and Mike both double champs in their weight classes. If you're serious about training and getting in shape this is the place. We've been training at cage combat acadamy for the past 4 years and have no plans on stopping. I've lost 40 pounds my son has medaled at multiple tournaments and next year my daughter will be joining as well. All around we couldn't be happier we joined. Long story short if you're looking for a serious gym that treats you like family then look no further. See you on the mats.

As a mom, I feel deeply disappointed and misled by Cage Combat Academy. When we joined, we were…read moremade to believe in many opportunities for our kids to compete in tournaments and grow in their jiujitsu journey. My children waited patiently for years--FOUR years--holding onto those promises, but they turned out to be empty. The owner, Alex, is a gifted coach on the mat. But unfortunately, he was the very person who made false promises about growth and competition opportunities. When I showed up to one of these "intended" opportunities (that never materialized), he spoke to me in an aggressive and disrespectful way right in front of my children. I was shaken, I had respected him and the gym so much. I seen him hurt other families but I never thought he would come for us since we were so freaking loyal. My husband went back two days later to address it directly. He told Alex clearly: (1) Do not ever speak to my wife like that again, and (2) We finally see that the opportunities we were promised will never come, so after years of loyalty, we are leaving. Alex seemed way more respectful to my husband and even wanted to work things out. The reality is that Cage Combat only participates in a handful of very small tournaments each year--sometimes just 4 total--and most often there wasn't even competition in my kids' brackets because they were tiny unworthy tournaments. My children were ready for more, eager to grow, and deserved the chance to test themselves, but it was simply not allowed. After my husband spoke up, I had a meeting with Rosalie. That three-hour conversation was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. She dominated the entire discussion with negativity, spoke poorly about nearly every one of my friends / members from the gym, and even made disparaging remarks about my daughter exploring another gym. Worst of all, after we decided to move on, she spread rumors about my 14-year-old daughter (and other teens) a girl who had given her whole heart, sweat, and loyalty to this gym. To hear from at least 20 different people that she was the subject of Rosalies gossip was beyond disgusting. I think she did it to try and save face& blame us for the falling out. But those that took a peak in to the truth seen through her scandalous ways. I texted Rosalie directly, asking her not to ever speak about my family again, but she continued and even escalated to salacious slander about other members!!!! It was beyond disgusting what she said and I wont dare mention it on the internet. I consulted an attorney over the situation and they agreed that Rosalie& Alex plus some of their staff (Jacky according to Rosalies statements) were in fact committing defamation. Ultimately, I chose to move forward and not look back at their cowardice ways. I enrolled my children at a new gym across the bridge. Since leaving, the opportunities have been absolutely incredible--far beyond what we were told was possible. I thank God for lifting the veil so my kids could have the opportunities and support they have now. Looking back, I realize I stayed too long because of misplaced loyalty and because I wanted to believe in them. But the truth is, this gym operates with a cult-like manipulation that blinds you until you finally step away. I can go on for hours of the many many incidences but I will just end saying to look at the facts; both Alex and Rosalie have very volatile relationships or zero relationships with our local likeminded community and their own families! I am writing this months later because I believe it may answer some questions that other members may be dealing with themselves. If that is you, you are not crazy and I hope this helps!!! My advice to other parents: if your children want real opportunities to grow, compete, and be supported in a healthy environment, look elsewhere.

Follow up thoughts:…read more I stand by my original review, which reflects my personal experience and opinion -- both of which I have a legal right to share. Your public response includes multiple false and inflammatory claims about me, and I feel it's necessary to respond to set the record straight. The incident you referenced occurred during an open mat session in 2018. At the time, I was training under the supervision of one of your coaches, who explicitly asked me not to throw punches so I could work on my defense. I followed that instruction. The training was light, controlled, and respectful. Your later claim that I was recklessly sparring with brand-new students is inaccurate, and to my knowledge, no such concern was raised until you confronted me aggressively and physically escalated the situation. As I described in my review, you grabbed my shirt, followed me into the locker room, and shoved me into the lockers. You then followed me into the parking lot while still in gear. That was not professional or necessary. In my view, it was less about safety and more about control -- and when I didn't back down, it seemed to bruise your massive ego. Regarding the private lessons: I paid you personally for a package, and the sessions were not completed. That's a fact. Whether or not I submitted a formal refund request is irrelevant -- I paid for a service that was not fully delivered. You've now made public accusations that I submitted fake reviews, used vulgar language, and harassed you over several years. I unequivocally deny these claims. They are completely false. The fact that this is only being raised now -- in response to a critical review -- speaks for itself. My review was not harassment. It was protected speech, written to share my personal experience for the benefit of others considering your gym. Your public response -- filled with personal attacks and verifiably false claims -- only underscores the concerns I originally raised.

I've taken five fundamental classes so far: 4 MMA classes 1 Jiu-Jitsu class 1 Kickboxing Cardio class Why I Recommend It: Well-Organized Curriculum The curriculum is structured in a way that's perfect for beginners. Each class builds on the basics, making it easy to follow along and feel confident even if you've never stepped foot in a martial arts gym before. Supportive Coaches The coaches are incredibly skilled at teaching newcomers. They break things down clearly and provide personal attention to make sure everyone is comfortable. It's clear that they're passionate about helping people learn, regardless of experience level. Friendly & Welcoming Environment From the coaches to the other students, the gym creates a warm and supportive atmosphere.
