Came here from Long Beach, for a Fairtex Seminar. Staff were very friendly. Interior was very clean and well kept. They had plenty of equipment (pads, bags, and even a sauna). Went for a hosted Yokkao seminar with Saenchai, Duangdawnoi, and Kru Fasai. Clean and large facility with a ring and available bags+equipment, great staff, and very friendly gym. They also have in their front a small gym store for gear and namman muay linement oil and water+drinks, a good sign for any gym that works both ways positively. This is not my home gym since I'm in a different county but I can see they take pride in their instruction and students. I will recommend but keep in mind I do not attend here, perhaps a few drop in sessions in the future may be nice! Ultimately if it was okay for the Thai killers who live, train, and fight in Thailand to be hosted here, I'm sure it's a great spot. Kru Mickey Robinson is very open and approachable, great guy. I started my Muay Thai journey here at HP in October 2019 when I started working in Ontario. This school leads with respect & integrity, and honors the values of traditional Muay Thai. HP has great instructors (the Krus) and management (Fanny). Unfortunately, due to COVID, I had to leave the gym because I ended up working from home and no longer driving to Ontario (50min drive) every single day. Fast forward to 2021, I started training again but at a different gym near my area. Despite, no longer training at HP, we continue to keep in touch and they always make me feel welcomed whenever I visit. It always feels like HOME. This is the school I will always recommend. Looking around the internet for good Muay Thai Schools I found a few that peaked my interest. After researching a few I send out information requests to each school I was interested in. Within less than 5 minutes I had received a text message on my phone from Fanny, offering to answer any questions I had about the school. I told her that I was interested in finding a good school for my daughter and myself to train. She invited us both down to the school that evening to try out an introductory class. When we arrived we were taken to a secondary training room and Fanny demonstrated basic Muay Thai techniques such as Muay Thai stance and roundhouse kick technique. She then had my daughter and I get into Muay Thai stance and throw a few kicks with each leg. After we went through the intro class, we joined the beginner class which started at the top of the hour. Although we probably had no idea what we were doing, my daughter and I had the time of our life. My daughter enjoyed it so much so said she didn't want to check out any other schools because she had a lot of fun and all of the students and instructors made her feel comfortable and welcomed. Fast forward 4 months later and this is hands down one of the best decisions I've made. All of the instructors Kru Mickey, Ben, Rob, Jess, Jared, Mike, and Fanny are like family. They take the time to make sure everyone is getting the attention and instruction they need. I've been in other gyms/schools were instructors had their favorites and devoted most of their time to their fighters. This is definitely not the case here. I'm sure there are many great Muay Thai schools in the IE but the experience I have had here so far exceeded my expectations. Conveniently located right off the 60 freeway and class times are flexible enough for most schedules. This is the spot to acquire skills of traditional Muay Thai from the best. All the top-notch Krus (teachers) evidently excel in this craft; they explain techniques scrupulously and with patience. Amid practice, the Krus are mindful about paying individual attention and constructively advise us on how to improve. It's an enjoyable setting for learning how to kick a$$, raise more confidence, understand/speak some Thai, and meet nice people (sounds great, right?). There's optional monthly testing that allows us to demonstrate our skills based on curriculum which is an opportunity to earn a colored arm band. When I look around for a muay thai gym, I always had a criteria, Im a purist when it comes to a martial art, so when I visit a gym, I come with these questions: 1. Authenticity- Is it real muay thai? real muay thai consists of thai style elbows, knees, kicks, clinches and its defenses 2. Programs- does it have a beginners/foundation class? An intermediate advanced class? 3. Structure- is there a curriculum that is being taught? 4. Experience- how long have the instructors been in the game? How active are they in the muay thai community? 5. Competition- do they have a fight team and coaches that encourage that beast out of you? Will they help you get that fight WHEN YOU ARE READY? 6. Sparring- will they teach you how to spar? Hold pads? Use focus mitts? 7. Certifications- is the school under wtba or any muay thai associated organizations? 8. Satisfactions- is the school filled with happy students? Happy parents? If these are the core questions you also ask when looking around for a muaythai gym. Then look no further because heart and pride is a YES to all these questions. On a side note to answer the experience question- heart and pride has been around for 6 yrs. All coaches have been in the game longer than Ive been alive (Im kidding!) At least 10 yrs!! And they are all very active in the muay thai community. Very good place to train Muay Thai. I'm on my second class and the instructors and students are very respectful. I go to the morning class and have learned how to better my technique. Fany was nice about explaining payments but was never pushy like a lot of other places. They hooked me up with shirts and Muay Thai shorts which I totally appreciate. They do offer evening classes but I'm not an evening workout type of guy but that option is there which is great. Last but certainly not least was how clean the gym is. I love that they take good care of their equipment and disinfect pads. read more

I'm visiting from NYC for the holidays and needed a real Muay Thai gym to train at while I was on vacation. I was referred by a friend and spoke to a very friendly woman named Fanny on the phone. She was very nice and told me the schedule and to come in and check out the adult classes. I was greeted by Kru Mickey who was expecting my arrival, right away I felt welcomed and not intimidated at all. I've noticed in the past some gyms can be a bit intimidating when you're a stranger, but not here at all!! The class was a great work out and we got to work on a lot of technique.
