Once you've got past the bizarre entrance (ring the bell and wait to be let in!) you find yourself in a small, strangely shaped waiting area. The glass door will slide open revealing a receptionist to take your details, then the door will rapidly slide shut again leaving you feeling a little bit intimated! These are minor points in the great scheme of things - the GPs I have seen there tend to be average - no better or worse than at other practices really. You don't have to wait particularly long on a good day, and if you ring up in the morning you can often get a same-day appointment. Parking is tricky - there are side roads off the Bristol road, but you tend to have to walk a fair way as the residents will invariably have their cars parked. There is a chemist nearby just a bit further up the Bristol Road which can be handy.

However, on one occasion when the machine wasn't working, I registered myself directly with reception staff. After waiting an hour, I queried the delay only to find I hadn't been highlighted on the system. This was very frustrating because when I once missed an appointment, I received a terse letter saying I risk losing registration at the surgery if I were to do it again. However, this has only happened once. I'm very happy with the service from my GP who makes a concerted effort to give me bespoke care. Other services such as mental health and midwife clinics are also available. The nurses are very understanding and helpful.

This was my doctors for some time when I lived close by and I had good experiences here. The first thing you notice about Bellevue is its professionalism. Inside the place looks new, well kept, with a neat, clean feel. When I first arrived the reception staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with getting through the usual soviet-style bureaucracy. I visited the medical centre on a few occasions, seeing two doctors, both of whom offered valuable service. They gave me more time than many doctors do in the city, and they were attentive and helpful. This is actually where my back problems were first taken seriously. My only bad experience here was one time when I waited a long time in the waiting room, and waited, and waited, and eventually said something to the receptionist (about an hour later) who told me that they hadn't put me through the register and had forgotten all about me! But this was really a one off admin problem and don't think it was normal. In general though, expect a wee wait for your appointment as it can get quiet busy. Bellevue also offers services like midwife clinics, mental health clinics, new baby clinics etc. It's also possible for new patients to register through their website to save time and stress. Overall, a highly recommended doctors!

ALL staff I spoke to were very very pleasant and helpful. Walking through the corridors I am so impressed with the cleaniness and how diligent the cleaners are. Even the receptionists cleaned their work area. The restaurant was also very clean, and were clearing and cleaning the seating areas regularly. I have unfortunately had regular visits to Heartlands and Solihull and they are filthy dirty and rarely saw a cleaner. Well done to you all. Susan Robinson, Solihull

This is a hospital where there are sick people, miserable relatives, and hundreds of people who have been waiting hours and hours to see a consultant / get an x-ray etc. If you're going to volunteer to work in a hospital shop, do it because you want to help out. You don't have to make small talk, but at least smile. Unfortunately, the women running this shop were just downright rude. They were patronizing, had no patience when I couldn't find my purse, and tutted when my brother asked to add something at the last minute. Very disappointing. The rest of the hospital staff were great, though.

From the outside it looked so modern but on the inside it looked like everything was a bit dated; magazines I understand but not old fashioned and uncomfortable beds I recently registered at this doctors' and was pleased to know it all happened there and then. There was none of that "send us your sample"/ "You'll be registered in a few days" this was lucky as I needed an appointment the next day. In fact it's pretty quick and easy to get an appointment. I had to see the nurse who didn't appear to care much about my health. I know she probably didn't care but it would've made me feel so much better. She didn't explain things properly either and got a bit patronising when things went wrong so I had to ask her explain again. On the other hand the doctor was better as she was kind and talked me through things but didn't make me feel reassured and the extremely uncomfortable examination didn't help!

The Hyman Practice is also very modern and clean with a spacious waiting room with lots of seats so you don't feel like you're catching anyone's bugs! As you walk in you can speak to the receptionists or use the self check in machine on the wall. I always find the reception staff kind and efficient. Reception staff often get a bad rep but they are lovely here. I visited different nurses at the practice several times last year as I had a burn that needed changing and checking. They were incredibly kind and gave excellent advice. I've only seen a doctor once and she was also very kind, efficient and helpful. Handily there is a pharmacy downstairs so you can pick up prescriptions there. There are just two issues. Firstly, it can be difficult to get an appointment with a doctor. You can sit on the phone ringing and ringing for ages. Secondly there is often a delay when waiting for your appointment. However I think these are problems across the NHS rather than with the individual practice.

Hammerwich hospital which used to be located in burntwood it used to be a nice place for people to…read morego and get treated for illnesses and was local especially for the older gerneration to go to but unfortunately its not here anymore. The staff used to be brillant however i dont think that they had the funds to continue such a shame. As mentioned it is no longer here but I think it will be missed as there isn't really any other place like this in burntwood. I never heard a bad thing about this place it was always good.
