We have had mixed experiences with this doctors surgery…read more It a small surgery but I believe it is currently being extended. The secretaries seem to vary in quality, some are very helpful but some are miserable and quite abrupt and unhelpful given they are working in a place with sick people. The waiting room is cramped and needs a revamp. When a person is called to the doctor the name is read out via some system that uses an old phone strapped to the wall with parcel tape!! The doctors also vary in quality. There are a couple of lovely lady doctors there who are very helpful and have a good bedside manner. Some of the other doctors are not so good and quite dismissive. The maternity services are appalling, when I was pregnant, there was a different midwife every week and when I suffered problems, there was no midwife to contact which was disgusting.

Why have patients not been directly informed of this by the practice, as many would not wish to be treated by her until she has attended a fitness to practise hearing, by the GMC.

Within 2 hours I had my appointment with Dr Mohammed (as requested) for a day that suited me. My appointment as always was superb, Dr Mohammed always remembers me, gives excellent advice and gives the best (pain free) hydrocortisone injections! I have been with this practice all of my life and seen them grow from Dr Mr and Dr Mrs Mcrann. to the state of the art care they now offer. yes, they get busy, but if needed a doctor will always see you. The reception staff are patient, kind and caring too.

Without wanting to bore you too much with…read moremy medical history (which is rather boring anyway and mainly consists of dodgy throats and the occasional jippy shoulder) I can say that every doctor I've seen here has been absolutely lovely - even when I've got carried away and misdiagnosed myself with something rare and life threatening (the joys of looking up symptoms on Google eh?) and it turns out all I've got is a slight case of tonsillitis. Which kills by the way. It's a big place with regular smoking cessation, diabetes and stress clinics. They have a team of very nice nurses and the reception staff are smiley and kind. They used to play rather annoying muzak but seem to have stopped that in recent years, although the kiddies soft toy play area can sometimes get a bit noisy - not ideal if you are a migraine sufferer. You can always get an appointment - the only downer is the lack of reading material - Golf magazines and leaflets on COPD feature heavily. Hopefully you won't need to use a doctor much, but if you do find yourself looking for one in the Harborne area, then this comes recommended.

The building looks great for a doctors' surgery and the standards of service match the appearance…read more Getting an appointment with the doctor didn't take too long but I spent about twenty five minutes in the waiting room with only magazines from 2009 to keep my mind occupied. So that was pretty boring. The doctors themselves were really helpful in getting to the root of my problem. You know how some doctors try and see as many patients as possible to keep things good, tell you not to worry when you think you have a serious problem, give you some drugs and hope the problem goes? Here it felt like the doctors (and receptionists) actually care, result!! Yes they gave me drugs to solve the problem but that came with genuine advice and reassurance. They're a teaching practice so it can be embarrassing having a student present; especially if you have an extremely personal problem. It was a little too far for me to travel but the services provided make it worth it. So I think the Hall Green residents are lucky! There's no other place like this so it's great that they can do: screenings, vaccines, antenatal clinic and asthma clinic plus there's a pharmacy so you can immediately pick up your prescriptions; extremely handy as I am a busy person.

I find this medical centre brilliant, the doctors are very understanding and helpful and always…read morehave time to listen to you,I have no problems with this medical centre, I have been with this centre since these doctors took over from the last ones, Dr and Mrs Chawla have always been most helpful whenever I have needed their help and are only keen to help me, in an emergency they will come to the house, when my father was ill with cancer Mrs Chawla was there to help us,I have just been diagnosed as having diabetes type 2 and the surgery nurse Jane Oakley has done all she could to help even sending me to City Hospital on a 6 week course to find out all about diabetes , its easy to get an appointment and all the reception staff are very helpful,in an emergency they will always get me an appointment with either a doctor or nurse.they send me letters when the flu jab is available or a "well man" clinic is available, I can get my blood pressure or cholesterol test done when its needed. brilliant
