They get it right with taking a coffee order right away, do I look like I need one? Well I did need one and lucky for everybody it was made promptly and delivered with a smile. Today I chose the Big Breaky Burger. I find it hard not to give these a try everywhere. I noted on the menu some additional ingredients that you won't typically see. This burger was clearly of a higher class. When it arrived (which was surprisingly quick, I guess they are quiet today, but awesome) the presentation was pretty eye catching. I blurted our something stupid and incomprehensible to the waitress. What I meant to say was "that looks awesome" and "thank you". Let's cut to the juice. The coffee is great, smooth with no bitterness! The bacon is delicious, maybe a light smokey flavour and crisped to perfection. The burger is made on a fluffy brioche bun as it should be. The avocado was generous and had a slight lemon flavour like they cared for it delicately begins the scenes. I love this place after one visit! I'll be back, and I'll bring other people. We were rudely told by a mature aged, blonde haired female employee, who should know better, to "Get out of the way"! Those were literally her words. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude. There were many other more mature and professional ways to disperse us to another part of the room than "Get out of the way"!! We are locals who also run a successful, local company. We will never visit Platters ever again. I talked with the manager about this and he didn't apologize on her behalf. He was just as unprofessional as she was. I literally had to ask him to please talk with her and he said he would, but I bet he didn't! Unfortunately, when asked about Platters in the future (and we are always being asked about where to eat by the thousands of customers we interact with every year), my colleagues and I will have to tell people the truth about our rude, unprofessional experience (I mean, when people ask, I'm not going to lie). We won't be recommending Platters to anyone, which is sad because up until today the coffee and food have been pretty good.
