All I knew was I wanted to feel normal again. I went to physical therapy twice a week for three weeks. Joanne was my primary physical therapist with Rachel helping me as well. Each physical therapy session started with heat, then a massage followed by neck stretches and eventually resistance bands to help build strength. I was also shown some neck stretches I could do at home. After three weeks I'm not back to 100%, but I am 90% better. I am very thankful to Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute Rehabilitation for helping me heal;)

I finally gave in when the pain had progressed to the point I couldn't move my arm or sleep through the night and so I started physical therapy. First Coast Rehab is amazing, you get to work one on one with your physical therapist and never with an assistant or aide. My best advice, if your doctor recommends physical therapy, then do yourself a favor and try it. Follow the plan your therapist makes for you and you will likely see results, hopefully sooner than later. I couldn't move my left arm without tears running down my face and it took me a couple months of weekly sessions, sometimes multiple times a week, but now I've regained control of my arm and live pain free.
