Really neat little store. I think the ownership has changed. It is a kitchen cooking store. There is everything you could possibly want to make teas, coffee, baking, and cooking. There are all types of cooking utensils, texture rolling pins, there's anything you can think of for baking. Cooling racks, bread pans, crust protectors, you name it, It is here. We found multiple things that we ended up getting, and the prices on stuff seemed reasonable. We got a text rolling pin for putting designs in dough before cutting out the cookie. We got a collapsible microwave protector to prevent splattering. I also enjoy making homemade apple pies and found a round pie crust cutter that cuts the design in the top crust in the shape of small apples. I'm telling you it's worth walking through the store. You will find something that you're going to buy because you want it and a ton of things that you would consider buying just because it's neat. read more

My husband I always tried to come here when we ventured to Ruidoso. We had encountered some "snobbish" behavior before, but this was pre-Covid. Today we were checking Yelp to see if Hearts Delight-The Kitchen Store was still in business. I read some of the reviews and they were TOUGH. We decided to try it. THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!!! The gentleman who was running the store was absolutely FABULOUS!!!! I was looking for a specific item. He had neither seen nor heard of what I was looking for. HE WENT ON THE INTERNET, RESEARCHED AND FOUND A PRODUCT IN HIS STORE THAT WILL SERVE THE SAME PURPOSE!!!! Not only that, the gentleman got the product off of the shelf and brought it to me in the store! He could have just let that go, but his interest was OBVIOUSLY on customer service! A sign outside the business claimed "Under New Ownership." THIS store is definitely worth a stop! And to the gentleman who helped us, kudos! Great job!!!! read more

HOW RUDE! This Owner Leaves A Bad Taste In This Wonderful Little Town. I grew up around here and use to love coming in to this store and buying special gifts. It's been awhile since I've been back because I live out of state, but after today I'll never return. The lady behind the counter, who is also the shop owner, asked me to get off my cell phone which I promptly did. My son said she loudly voiced "wow she's still on the phone" umm it took me less than a couple of seconds to tell my work I would have to call back in a couple of minutes so her remark was uncalled for! I walked up to the counter to let the lady know, "excuse me you asked me to get off my phone and your comment was uncalled for." She said excuse me but you need to learn to read lady" How incredibly RUDE! Yes, there was a sign posted that I overlooked but having a business in any kind of sales or customer service you should be able to kindly communicate to your customers. I let her know I wouldn't be shopping there and it didn't even phase her. There's a reason this store has a 1 Star and Only 1 Review. read more

Very pleasant shop! The selection is amazing, the prices are more than reasonable, and everyone there has been super friendly. The shop also has new owners compared to a few years ago, and they are much better than the previous ones. I've been here several times and have never had a bad experience, and I'll definitely be visiting again soon! read more

I will NEVER go back to this store again. The shop owners are the rudest people I have ever come across. I also, over looked the no cellphone policy. I was sending a message to a friend so I could buy her a gift. I was rudly told to get off my phone. I told my husband we needed to leave. We all left the store and stopped to put our 1 year old back in her stroller as the lady shop owner followed us out telling us all sorts of things. Basically, to sum it up, I am not educated enough to read and I need to go to Hell. This was all said in front of my husband, son, daughter, niece, mother-in-law and countless other standing around. Never felt so disrespected in my life!  Wow! The worst people, they are rude, and Racist! The man not sure if owner, was sitting on his chair 15 ft away and yelled to not open a package if a cup I wanted to see, he startled my aunt which dropped a cup. Then we paid for the item. We told them we felt they were rude to yell and did not have good customer service. And the man told us to go back to Mexico. Racist and was yelling at us while we were on the sidewalk. I went to take a picture of the store and the old lady smacked my hand and phone. I should press charges for harassment and discrimination! Never will we come in again!
