We had Heather photograph our wedding last year and could not be happier with the results! We were a little worried because we booked her without actually meeting her until the wedding day (we go to grad school across the country), but felt like she would be a good fit after seeing her portfolio and reading her reviews. We talked with her on the phone and through numerous e-mails about the types of photos we wanted, and she also had a shot list that we filled out. The day of the wedding she arrived promptly and was super excited about everything, which made us even more excited! The weather was great, so we did almost all of our shots outside. She knew pose after pose after pose, so there was no awkward standing around asking her what we should do next. Though that was the first time we had met, she put my husband and I in poses that fit our personality perfectly and didn't end up looking, well, posed! The group and family shots turned out amazingly well, and she captured a lot of spontaneous moments that turned out to be some of our favorites. During the ceremony and reception no one even knew she was there, she was very unobtrusive but still captured every moment. It took a little longer than I had expected to receive the digital images, but after I saw them it was well worth the wait! She is extremely talented with editing the photos and we were thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend Heather as a wedding photographer. She takes beautiful photos and we love showing them off to everyone. Her prices are extremely reasonable (especially when she runs sales!) and her photos are as good if not better than photographers who charge 3 times as much! Some people complain about not receiving photos by a certain day, but if you look at the amount of post-processing she does it is well worth the wait. Also, we did a picture with "Thank You" signs that we wanted for our thank you cards, and she got those out to us within weeks. We have used Heather Mann Photography for our engagement, wedding and family sessions. She is extremely affordable and is willing to work out a specific package to your budget's needs. All photos and experiences were absolutely amazing. She is very good at what she does and works well with all and any subjects. At our wedding we had non stop raves about how professional and friendly Heather was. All of our friends pocketed Heather Mann Photography's information for future business. I couldn't of been happier with the quality of her photography. All of our photos look amazing. My favorite thing about them is that fact that they are us. Not overly photoshopped to the point where the coloring in the pictures look too saturated or just plain fake (I have seen friends photos where grooms/groomsmen look like they are wearing makeup due to photoshop excitement from their photographers). Living out of Washington hasn't been a problem at all with scheduling or communication. We did a family session on New Years Eve in the snow! Even though it was freezing, she made sure to keep us entertained and comfortable. Between all of our sessions we probably have over 1300 photos and every single one of them is worthy to be put in a frame for the world to see. I have worked for a world class wedding venue as the general manager for several years. During that time, I met Heather Mann and had the opportunity to view her work. She shot a couple of weddings and the brides raved about how wonderful she was and about her affordable pricing. Specifically, they talked about how nice, flexible and calming she was on such a special day and yet how she controlled the people to make sure important photos were taken. Heather then provided me with access to view the photos online and they were amazing. Consequently, we made Heather Mann one of our preferred vendors on our recommendation list. We do not recieve any commissions from the vendors on our list. We simply recommend vendors who have proven that they can deliver a wonderful product. Since that day, she has been the photographer for many weddings at our venue and we have never heard a complaint about her. In fact, the feedback is always positive. The correct description of this small business or the owner/photographer is not only amazing talent, which can be seen on their website heathermannphotography.com, or on their facebook page, but also in the honest, upfront way that they conduct business. I would trust Heather Mann Photography to take family, wedding, engagement and senior pictures anytime. I would also trust this business in being super flexible to the point of breaking. But you don't have to trust me - you can just look at the work on the website and speak with the photographer and you will know for yourself that it is a quality business. My fiance and I had our engagement session with Heather Mann last week and it was wonderful! Most of the time my fiance hates having his picture taken and he was dreading this session for weeks beforehand, but Heather is so funny and personable that he was instantly laughing and having fun with the pictures. My husband and I first used Heather to photograph or wedding in 2008 since then have used her for maternity, newborn, and family photos... I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Always find time to fit us in, even when I called with a short time frame in mind. Was very accommodating with meeting us at requested locations and was always reasonable in price. Heather is not only a talented photographer, she is fun, friendly and easy to work with. My husband and I did a halfsie session with her, which is 30 minutes long and we were both impressed with how efficient she is and how many pictures she took in such a short time.
