I always wanted to do my engagement session in the mountains since we're from Chicago and there's none of that around there. After much research (aka Googling), we decided to have our photos done at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park which was the PERFECT mountain backdrop, especially during golden hour and sunset. I found BreeAnna from Googling Hurricane Ridge engagement photos and absolutely LOVED her work and knew we had to contact her. She is very responsive and answered all of the questions I had! She really knows where the best spots are to take pictures and is not afraid to go off trail. She also made us feel so comfortable given that we are the most awkward photo subjects and the photos turned out AMAZING!! I worked with Ingrid a few months back to have my senior portraits shot. It was such a fun experience! Being a very indecisive person, I really struggled to choose a location. She was completely ok with that and even recommended a surprise location that I absolutely adored. My friend (there for moral support) and I could not stop laughing, it was like having your pictures taken by a good friend. She got the pictures to me before my school deadline, and I was ecstatic to see the results. She really captured the kinda crazy person that I am, in a pretty way. :D I highly recommend this professional, yet relatable, photographer. read more

This business posted a special price via their Facebook Fan Page for a session. I immediately…read morecontacted the business and stated I was interested a session as the discounted price ($50.00) and if they had an indoor studio. I mentioned that due to life commitments we would not be able to book the session by the end of the month (the time the special expired). I was told that it would not be a problem since I contacted them before it expired. I offered to purchase the session at that time and simply book it later as a show of good faith. I did refer at least on family to this photographer during this sale. When my family finally did get the time to book a session it was several months later; and I had stayed in touch with this small business over the months. We scheduled the session and the day of the session (two hours before) I was sent an email regarding payment and the prices was almost quadruple what I was expecting. This was after no less than 10 emails getting everything set-up; my husband arranging time off from work and purchasing new outfits for the day. It was to late to find a new photographer so, we paid this inflated price. When I reminded the owner about the special she told me it had expired so, I reminder her about our agreement and her answer was: "our prices are subject to change at any time". We went to the photoshoot and had a horrible experience. We were taken onto someone's private property to take the pictures and while it created an interesting background it was illegal. The photographer picked the time of day for the pictures and the location. Most of the pictures were shot were the subjects were looking into the sun so, everyone was squinting. Out of the 75 pictures we eventually received (3 weeks AFTER the promised date) only 2-3 of them were usable. The photographer did not take the time to make the little things were correct in the pictures. Such as shirts straightened, not squinting, a natural smile, glasses placed in a backpocket to not be seen were shown, hair fly-aways, and numerous other issues. The best pictures (and only usable pictures) were the ones were my 75 year old grandmother chose the location near a park. The park we walked through to get to the backlot of a private business. Oh yeah, and the indoor studio this photographer had - no longer existed. She had dismantled it, but never said anything in the numerous emails exchanged to work out all of the details. i was not happy with this experience and would never recommend this photographer to anyone else.

I will cherish these photos forever and so thankful I hired her. Plus it's her prices are reasonable which is a rare find these days. She included an engagement session too which we didn't actually need, but it was a great experience to be able to work with her even before the wedding. As we walked the area she worked with us on more specific ideas and an area that would work / look good in the photos. Once we started taking pictures you could see she had some really good ideas on positioning us. She wasn't afraid to say move here, move there, show us where to hold each other, and what to do with our bodies. This was helpful as we had no idea and this was our first time taking professional photographs. Amanda showed that she was passionate and enthusiastic the whole time. Meghann even had a video with step by step instructions for me to review before getting to this remote area of Olympic so I didn't have to guess while we were out there. She had gotten there early and even quietly asked a few people to come back in a few minutes while I proposed.
