This was my first time going to Heather's Nail boutique, and I am very pleased that I went. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by staff. They ask if you've ever been there before and I had replied no. So they showed me around and explained everything. I picked up my color and Caitlyn met me immediately to get me started. They provide heated neck wraps, if you'd like, the massage chairs have all kinds of wonderful functions, and the whole atmosphere is very pleasant. Everybody from the staff to the clients were all having a good time and enjoy enjoying themselves. Caitlyn did an amazing job and my toes look great. My rough heels are smooth and the massage on the legs felt great. Heather also makes all of our own scrubs, lotions, and washes. Wonderful sense to choose from, and I did take the tangerine mint lotion home. I have a feeling I'll be back for other sense as well. Definitely will be returning. read more

Sad that I can't give a better review because the salon is lovely and seems like the people working there are too- I really wanted to love this place; however it was just not the type of manicure experience I prefer, especially for the price point. I've had TONS of manicures- in and out of the US + I lived in Vegas for years... I've had all types of elite spa manicures and quick fix hole-in-the-wall manicures. My mistakes for this appointment: *Booking a couple days before via text- led me to end up with a very inexperienced manicurist. *Not inquiring about pricing- I expected to simply spend less than $50 for a basic paint manicure (coming in with naked nails), so didn't think much about asking when I booked. Beautiful salon with coffee/tea and refrigerated beverages available for clients. I was so excited after arriving I even text my boyfriend to tell him how nice the salon was! The manicure felt VERY slow with very soft work on my nails and (annoyingly) soft finger/hand massaging... I'm assuming this is partly due to me coming in with naked nails- she was trying to tie up some time maybe? So I don't mind a nice finger/hand massage- in fact I love it, but it was SO slow and gentle and I didn't request any extra massaging nor was I offered any options for upgrades or even manicure packages and/or pricing. Before paint (see pictures) she took me to the front for payment- $60 for a completely basic manicure; I almost didn't get any paint since I typically go natural and I wished I hadn't. I was shocked at $60 but paid of course and tipped $6 on the receipt, mostly due to my shock- I had some cash so would have tipped more had things gotten better. I've never paid $60 for a basic manicure, not even with gel. Have I paid that in high end hotel spas with amenities and such? Probably, but this was in Sandpoint Idaho, close to the woods I grew up in!!!! Other things: *She didn't clean out underneath my nails at all, which I thought was standard for any manicure, nor did she really pull my dead cubicles off and it was already too late when I realized it. *She tried to be done after two coats but I could see most my nails completely through the polish so had to ask her for another coat. Overall I didn't really enjoy the manicure, however I didn't hate it either- it just wasn't my speed/vibe personally and unfortunately the experience didn't match my expectations, especially for the cost, at all. *There should be a basic (reasonable) manicure price available with upgrade options. I might give Heather's Nail Boutique another try in the future but I'll be more specific on what I'm wanting and such when booking. I waited two weeks from day of service to post this review (my nails were pretty rough for the duration of my work trip in California) - I was debating on posting at all but I think it's important that, as our little sleepy Idaho towns grow so fast and our options change, people are sharing their experiences with things like going to the salon for a simple manicure. read more

Let me start by saying I used to get my nails done all the time until I moved to Sandpoint, both gel and acrylics. This is my first (and last) experience with the structured gel they use here. I came in on a Wednesday to get my nails cleaned up for an engagement photo shoot I had 2 days later on Friday. There was a large amount of cuticles left that I had to clean up after I got home. The gel didn't even last through the weekend. On Sunday, I had 4 of my nails completely separating from the polish to the point I had to rip the rest of it off (each nail polish chunk came off in one giant piece). I also have 3 other nails that the polish is completely cracked and/or chipped. The only nails that are really staying strong are my pinky nails. During my appointment, I was told that I was getting the stronger of the two types of structured gel bonding available to make sure they last. I was talked into scheduling a removal appointment for these since they have to file off all the polish down to my nail. I called the business to cancel this appointment since 4/10 nails were already off and another 3 were going to be off soon due to the cracking/chipping. The person who answered was fine with cancelling my appointment. Once I started to express my disappointment for spending $70 on having my nails look nice for 4 days, I was asked if there was anything else I needed help with, I said no and they hung up. Very disappointed. Waste of time and money. I'll definitely be trying another business when the time comes for me to get my nails done again. read more

They never answer the phone. Had to make an appointment online, only to have a computer generated response, stateing we're reviewing your appointment. (Personally, I think to check my credit card). Then when I got there, the employees were twiddling their thumbs. The pedicure was way below standard, as I still have visible calluses on my heels. The chairs are mediocre, and they have no spa for your feet, just warm water. The manicure, left a fair amount of cuticles, and the employee was a robot. All for a over priced 140.00 Never again. Called Heather's Nails on short notice for a gel pedicure. They were able to fit me in short notice and accomodate an evening appt. I was really happy about that. My nail gal was super friendly, professional, and in tune to my requests. I had a cracked toe nail that she was able to repair/ save.. Also happy about that! I am completely perplexed by this business. I have been to Heather's a few times in the past and have brought family members and while the service and products were fine, they always seemed a little "standoffish." Anyways, last week I made a reservation for my daughter on their online booking system. Later I received an email letting me know that my reservation was declined. No Explanation, just simply declined. I figured it must be a computer glitch, so I texted and called twice to get the reservation ironed out. No response. Still thinking it might be something that I am not aware of, like perhaps they are closed due to covid,I decided to stop by today. They are definitely not closed. I left my number because the owner was unavailable. I will update this post if I hear back. We are a small town and it is a bummer to be treated this way by a local business. Other reviewers of Heathers have had similar experiences. I am baffled as I know of no reason I would be ostracized from a local business in my own town! I am still hopeful they will call with some explanation. read more

Pretentious. Popped inside to inquire about a same-day appointment for mani/pedi (their sign says walk-ins are welcome). One woman said she'd check her schedule and the other woman walked over, finished her phone call and then told me nothing until maybe next week. It's Tuesday morning. Didn't even get a smile or offer to book. They're also fundraising to send themselves to "nail camp" and have a custom printed banner to raise awareness for this cause. Can you say tacky? Send yourselves to camp. I sent myself to school to enhance my professional portfolio. That's what tips are for. Maybe spend less money trying to raise awareness for your self-fulfillment. Was so thrilled that Dae could squeeze me in, even after 5, the day before New Year's Eve! I'm a first time client, and had cracked my fingernail midway across on the side and chipped another nail; definitely NOT New Year's Eve worthy nails! I was so impressed by the way she saved my nail! I usually just get gel polish over my natural nails, but she used building gel to make my broken nail good as New! Dae was very thorough, professional, and gave me the most dazzling nails for NYE!
