The oldest one has learned so many new words, skills, and made a bunch of new friends that he sees frequently on weekends. The environment is very welcoming and child-centered, with frequent updates posts on the app for parents to feel informed about their children's day. For example, each child's profile will have photos posted showing them eating, interacting with the other children, or learning a new skill. I feel like the teachers do a great job at preparing the students for pre-k / vpk and kindergarten, and that it's worth the price of tuition.

My 5 year old recently graduated their VPK program and is wrapping up their INCREDIBLE summer camp before heading off to kindergarten. She started at TLE 2 years ago after a poor experience at another local daycare. From day one I saw the difference. Not only is the curriculum incredible but the environment and teachers make it unbelievably special. My daughter recently tested as gifted and i owe much of that to her time at TLE. My only wish is that they offered a kindergarten program! The summer camp offered is top notch. The teachers make everyday fun and special. From the amazing "water days" to the best field trips in Florida, they have truly made this summer so special. Thank you specifically to Ms Megan and Ms Naomi!! You both are such a gift!!

They had people stand in the sun wait for the helicopter to drop eggs for over an hour. Then a lot of parents ran in the field with the kids and picked up eggs pushing the smallest kids off the way. I saw some kiddos lost and terrified because they didn't know where their parents were. Also, there were not enough eggs for all the attended - I saw kids leaving with 1-3 eggs in their buckets. My 5 year old only was able to get 2. It was very chaotic. Will never attend again.

Ashly was very prompt and friendly coordinating the initial tour. I met with herself followed by Heidy at the very end of the tour to discuss the curriculum. Regarding next steps, the assessment and interview, they both advised they were busy as they had some unforeseen circumstances occurring with staff, and to please give them a minimum of 24-48 hours to reach out with a link. Well after 72 hours had passed I emailed Ashly and she never responded. I called the office, and Ashly advised she hasn't had time to speak with Heidy, and once she does she will respond accordingly. Note, she had an annoyed tone different from her initial friendly demeanor when scheduling everything from the beginning. I proceeded to email Heidy as well, exactly a week from the date of the tour with no response from her or Ashly. It's been well over a week and neither Ashly or Heidy attempted to respond to follow through with the admission process. I'm surprised by the unbecoming approach in them deciding not to be candid if they did not want me to proceed with the admission's process. I'm happy at the least to encounter their unprofessional behavior before having a child enrolled here. It's best to look elsewhere if good communication and some sense of professionalism is something you'd hope for at the bare minimum. I am positive this isn't the rapport their leadership is wanting to establish and build with the community.

I've also never seen an owner work harder than Priya. She is the first person I see in the morning and she is the last person I see to leave. Due to unexpected circumstances, my family had to move in the middle of the pandemic. And when I made the very tough (and scary) decision to put my 6 month old baby into daycare after months and months of working two jobs being a stay at home mom and working from home -the Goddard school exceeded every expectation. They were one of the only places that would accept her part time and when she turned a year we upgraded her to full-time. My daughter goes to school every single day and cannot wait to get there. And everyone at the school is happy to see her. If you live in this area, pick this school. Plain and simple

I was referred to Starchild by trusted sources who praised its reputation from 15 years ago, but my…read moreexperience was disappointing. While the curriculum for older kids seems promising, the infant and toddler programs are overhyped and underdelivered. Despite advertising features like sign language or Spanish, only Japanese was offered for babies, which felt less practical for my one-year-old. I delayed enrolling my daughter to save money by transitioning her to the toddler room after her first birthday, but I was still charged the infant rate because of undisclosed milestones like walking and holding a sippy cup. For $1,500 a month, I expected more transparency and support. Cameras are outdated, staff play favorites with babies, and my daughter--who has ASD--was often overlooked because she's quiet and immobile. Babies would crawl and walk over her (literally walking) while teachers played on their phones. The solution was to put her in a bouncer for hours away from the mobile babies. These issues led me to withdraw her and find a better daycare offering one-on-one care and inclusive pricing. Management and billing practices are equally poor. I had a $3,000 balance due to their billing error, unresolved credit for missed weeks, and unauthorized charges. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, my concerns were ignored, and my account was sent to collections without any proper notice--no voicemails, no letters to my house, and no emails. After the manager who initially promised to address my concerns left the company, I was referred to a different billing manager, who also failed to respond to my emails. The lack of communication and professionalism across the board is unacceptable. In hindsight, Withdrawing my child was ultimately the best decision. It led me to a daycare that better supports her needs without outdated cameras or unjustified fees. Starchild may do well with older children, but for infants and toddlers, and children with disabilities it's simply not worth the money. There's no extra attention given to babies or children with special needs. For $1,500 a month, I expect teachers to maximize opportunities for one-on-one interactions, especially during downtime--not leave my baby in a bouncer for two hours while doing paperwork so they can leave early or playing on their phones. Firing one manager didn't resolve the systemic issues at this school because the entire staff fails to follow through.

I was the only adult in the lobby standing at the front desk and the lady behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me for at least a solid minute until I finally spoke up and said "excuse me." Then once I explained that I was there for a tour she acted annoyed that I was interrupting her day. Tossed her pen down, rummaged around for papers, heavy annoyed breathing, etc. She even radioed another employee to come deal with me (as she made me feel). As a parent who is considering entrusting these people with my child all day, it was a horrible first impression and I will not be back. If you're going to treat me like that, how will you be treating my child? No thank you.

I was willing to spend a lot because I thought this was a good school. This is not a good school. Children are always putting toys in their mouths behind each other even if one of them was sick and didn't clean them off. Put their mouth all over the windows and hardly ever cleaned. Sharing cups. When my son had a runny nose they never cleaned it unless they are going to take pictures or when they see me or my parents coming to pick them up. I spoke to the teachers multiple times about this and the director. One day my son was sitting at the table eating and when I picked him up he had dried up snot all over his face and hair, and dirt around his mouth and hands while eating. (Have pictures) Another time he was sitting at the table crying with one shoe off and snot running down in his mouth while everyone else was eating and the teachers not doing anything. When they saw me one teacher grabbed his shoe and ran over with a tissue. I asked him why is he crying and why was he walking funny. When we got home and I changed his diaper and he developed a rash that turned into a sore to where he couldn't walk, sit, or take a bath because it was burning him. It was on his inner right leg, bottom, and genitals. (Have pictures) He was completely fine when I dropped him off. No rash and no redness. The director admitted that it was not the first time it happened and she is also was blaming it on it being an understaffed issue. She hired more people. I instantly started looking for new schools. His last week he was in school for only 3 days. That week I gave them a pack of 30 pampers. I received 5 pampers back. I looked at the changing chart and it didn't add up. I started to look at how many times I bought pampers within the time he started and they have definitely been using my diapers for other children. I separated home and daycare diapers. I called about it 3 days ago and still haven't heard back. I called again and no one will pick up. He is a lot happier in another school.
