Being an American we are experts in the realm of milk shakes. We are hard to satisfy in this category. You can also say the same for burgers. I enjoyed the environment of Kaspa's, and the customer service was good, but the magic is in their Milk Shakes. It is the best shake I have ever had in the U.K.. If you have to get a shake fix, Kaspa's is the only place I recommend in the U.K.. They have other locations, and when I visit from the States I will never except a shake unless it comes from Kaspa's. You can take my words to the bank, and if you ever see me at Kaspa's I will buy you a shake :)

However the service was a bit slow. After 30 minutes at the establishment, my partner got his dessert which was just ok. Five minutes later I was told that they did not have the dessert I ordered. Why didn't they tell me that to start with? I didn't have time to wait another 30 minutes and I feel like my precious holiday time was wasted.

The desserts are a mixture of freshly made on site, ready prepared shipped in from the larger company and bought to sell. The range and choice is fantastically huge with lots of options, just what you want in a dessert shop. My only gripe is that on the soda floats menu they don't offer the one and only original with root beer (not alcoholic), when they do it will be dessert shop perfection for me outside of London. On our last visit my son was able to take home, that which he couldn't consume from over indulgence.

Should be somewhere in city centre or broad street because many people should try this place. You'd think there would be lack of customers but walking out in the end there was a huge line outside. The previous place was popular and many people were suggesting a bigger place, but from what I saw they might need even bigger place. They're extending the back to add more capacity to this place. Still in development, so soon would hold more people. Obviously Heavenly Desserts are good at what they do and quite popular. I just ate before coming here and didn't want go for big dessert or waffle (the regular I get). Got crepe which comes with strawberries, scoop of vannila ice cream and strawberry sauce. I figured crepe would be light and small, how wrong I was. Was biggest crepe I had. Anyways It was delicious and place was buzzing. Everyone seemed to be having great time with their friends. It does get a little noisy but we sat in a big group section so it's to be expected. The two main staff (manager and assitant I think) were amazing and polite. The assitant manager was polite when showing people to their seats and as we were leaving, he was outside talking to the kids who were in line with their parents. I love the strong taste of lemon and the sharpness to the flavour that leaves nothing but joy in your mouth. As such I was excited to have the gelato here for the first time, since London Road's a lot closer to me than Rome or Malaga! Unfortunately, the gelato is really very meh. I had the fleur de lait on top and the lemon on the bottom of my £3, two scoop cone. The fleur de lait was good, and I enjoyed it, but the lemon was really very disappointing. It was far too sweet; the flavour should be far sharper than it was. It had a fairly weak taste with no real punch and it left a curious taste in my mouth. To give an example of how disappointing it was, it actually took me a couple of mouthfuls to realise that the flavour I was eating was lemon and not the fleur de lait! Ultimately, this place got me very excited, but in all honesty I don't think I'd recommend a visit.

I felt ripped off, as I also had to pay an extra £0.25 to use my debit card. Why couldn't she just be a decent human being and serve me a decent amount? £2.85 for less than 100ml of ice cream is ridiculous, they can call it gelato but it isn't, and even if it was I'm from Italy so I know exactly what gelato is and it doesn't cost that much. A 500ml tub of Carte D'or on the Sainsbury's up the road was just £2, and the taste was about the same, the difference is that 500ml equals 10 generous scoops, so you get the gist. Joke of a place, will never step into it again, and now it makes sense why they want you to pay before ordering, that's because they know you'd walk away after seeing the tiniest amount that they serve you.
