We spent hours here, working our way through all of the sarnies, cakes and biscuity treats on the stand, accompanied by tea, silver service style, and a rather excellent camp crocodile joke that I am ashamed to say I can't remember. Your belly deserves this cake, and these excellent people deserve your custom. It was also very inviting as it was a nice sunny day, and they had tables outside. It's a shame as they are for smokers. What about non-smokers who want to enjoy the sun and warm weather outside? Unfortunately, we were also subjected to the smoking. I do not drink coffee for medical reasons, and so settled for the hot chocolate. Here, it is a shame again, as most coffee shops, the "hot" is missing, and often I have to ask for extra hot if ever I go again. It was very well presented, but it also was quite powdery, so not the best hot chocolate that I have tasted. Perhaps, it does coffee better but I shall never know. The decor is nice, clean and relaxing and uncluttered with wooden tables. Friendly service. Closes at 6pm, and they starting packing up the outside tables and chairs around 5.50pm, which suited us, as we were just leaving! They also get another star for very nice and clean, modern and pleasant toilet facilities.

I love the vintage style decor, bright, beautiful and welcoming. They even have small tables and chairs for the smaller children. The cream teas are excellent. There is a vast selection of teas to choose from and matching teapots too, i.e. the Rooibos Orange Cream would come in an orange teapot and the Rosé would be in the pink teapot. There are black teas, white teas, green teas, herbal and fruit and decaff. The scones and cakes are all homemade. The warm scones with its light and crumbly texture are just delicious with the fresh clotted cream and jam. Unlike no other tearooms, you can pour and pour your tea, and like magic, the tea seems to be bottomless from the teapot. If you would prefer hot chocolate, this comes in a pot too!
