I had a great experience getting a bilateral salpingectomy with Dr. Davis. This is a surgery that…read moresome doctors refuse to provide due to their personal opinions about women and pregnancy. Thankfully Dr. Davis is a professional who respects bodily autonomy. I am terrified of needles, and the amazing nurses and care team at Woman's made my experience one of the smoothest I've ever had. The technicians were kind, explained everything to me, and made sure I felt cared for. I am almost a week post-op and even though I am generally very sensitive and my health is poor, I am recovering unusually fast and have very little pain. I can only think to attribute this to the expertise of the surgeon. When I do have pain, I don't feel like I need to ration my medication, because they gave me all that I needed and didn't skimp. My only issue was that I need valium or xanax for anxiety and I was told I couldn't take it before the procedure due to consent forms. I learned that other patients were allowed to take theirs and it just depends on who the doctor and hospital staff are that I speak to before my surgery. Anxiety medicine doesn't nullify contracts or affect the outcome of pregnancy tests, so there is no reason I had to wait all morning without it until right before my procedure. Other than this issue, I had a very positive experience overall.

I gave birth in this hospital and I do not recommend this hospital to anyone!I was asked to clean my pump right after surgery when I can barely even stand. The nurses are rude and Insensitive and overall did not know how to say things properly!! The nurses did not help me shower and left me doing things on my own!! The nurses came up to me after surgery and told me "i do not have hope for your son" when he was admitted into NICU. He said this in such a cold way and I feel that there was a better way in saying this!!If you are looking to come here for labor please change your mind !!

Kathy Guidry is a terrible doctor. I went into the assessment center because I was bleeding…read moreexcessively and uncontrollably. I was in a lot of pain and It brought tears to my eyes. I waited there for hours. Got there at around 10 that morning and didn't see her til almost 4. Then all she did was look down there, she may have done a culture but I don't think she did. And that was it. She then sent me home and on my way with pills that would "slow" the bleeding. Which it did but the pain did not stop. I have PCOS. Which is in my file. She should have done an ultrasound to check for cysts but she didn't. She didn't really do anything. She didn't press on my stomach or anything to check for cysts. And then when I asked for an excuse for work for the next day she wouldn't give it to me. Because she "saw no reason I would need it." So my excessive bleeding and extreme pain that brought tears to my eyes wasn't a good enough reason. I did not want a repeat of that days events. I didn't want to bleed all Over the place again. It's embarrassing. Then I told her nurse I was going to move to another doctor since Guidry didn't see fit to do all she should for me. And then that bitch got me banned from the whole clinic (the practice is private apparently she can do that). What a heartless person. She didn't help me and then because I wanted to find someone who would she got me banned. She has no bedside manner and she is not a good doctor.

The staff at her office has been efficient and professional. So high marks all around. She is part of the Crescent City Physicians group. Worst part about going? Getting weighed. Seriously. Welp, Yelp, this ain't so fun to review. But I know it will help a chica out…read more I give Dr. Ross 5 stars for the easiest and most comfortable exam I've had, pretty much ever, including my favorite GYN, who was one of the best in New York. The question portion of the exam was also the least invasive I've ever had, which is nice, because I prefer to check that stuff off on a form than give verbal answers (ie, "how many drinks do you have per week?" Who is that going to help, really?) Got my pap done in two seconds and then there's that typically awful part of the exam where it looks like an alien is running around in your abdomen, but Dr. Ross made it comfortable enough and damn quick. Nice, right? She is also overall extremely easy to talk to, as mentioned in other reviews. It was also wonderful not to have to wait two months for an annual exam (actually, they had an opening for two weeks away from my call!) The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the whole waiting 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. I just cannot deal with any waste of my time. There has to be a way for this to improve. At least have magazine options that aren't all about parenting in the waiting and exam rooms.
