But it's actually an open office with a waiting area that takes walkins. A couple items I intended to write-off I was told werent worth it. Seemed a little rushed as the walkins were piling up. They gave me paperwork that I looked over when I got home. Seemed to be very in-depth with how they depreciated some of my assets, but I just wish they had taken the time to walk me through the how and why. But for a basic tax service, I'd recommend. Probably not for a business owner with tons of expenses/write-offs.

First I would like to say in the beginning I had no issues until this year. I went to this company…read morebecause I wanted to get help on getting pins for my kids social security numbers. The agent ask me "Why I never did a child credit"..I didn't know what that was so she basically tells me it would protect my kids social security numbers..I asked her "Can I do this on SSI"..She tells me several times "Yes" so I proceed with the process. Fast forward a bit I get a letter from the social security office saying I had a interview coming up and I'm thinking nothing of it cause I'm thinking everything is ok. I find out that my disability is in jeopardy because i was put down as self-employed and bringing in over $17 thousand a year. I immediately knew this was wrong so I called the agent that did the paperwork and explained what was happening..She proceeds to say that "I gave her the wrong numbers" I asked her "What she is talking about because I didn't give her any numbers"..She tells me that "Some people are bad with numbers and she should have done more research herself"..I immediately knew that this agent was trying to protect herself so I called the IRS and explained to them what was happening..Mr.Rose was upset for me because he asked "Did I give them a W2 or a LLC license for the self-employment & both questions i said "No" & he also asked "Did i sign anything" & i answered "No" to that because it was done electronically..He tells me "I would have needed to come in & sign papers"..He saw i came in to the IRS last year & he said the reason for that was because there are scammers out there and because its been almost 20yrs since I filed anything they needed to see if i was alive and not stealing my own social security number. I later go to another Jackson Hewitt per the advice of Mr.Rose & once again I'm put thru integration implying that I was aware of what was going on...I NEVER knew what was going on & had i had any thoughts of what was going on I would have not proceed..I'm in Hell because of the agent Heather Simnar didn't know that SSI can't get a child credit & if she did know, she wanted more money in her paycheck. I went for one thing and I'm getting this type of service. I trusted Jackson Hewitt & Heather & this is what's happening..Although I was able to get it all amended,I was told i may still have to pay back the money because there insurance may not do it..I stated to them "Y'all can destroy my name & make me out as a liar & thief...All y'all can say is Sorry but it won't happen next year while she gets to keep her job like she did nothing & I pay for her mistake"..I pray no one is put in this situation like me because I literally didn't know anything..I came to them for help not this headache..I put my trust in the wrong company and a person and for this I'm paying and going thru Hell...NEVER again and to add the cherry on top,she didn't even put pins on my kids numbers..If anyone reads this,if your on SSI...you can't file for anything because its not taxable..If you receive SSDI, you will get a W2 in the mail and you can file. I wish I NEVER went thru Jackson Hewitt & I wish I NEVER meant Heather. Because of her,my life is in shambles & although it can possibly be fixed, the Hell I'm going through is definitely not worth it. This place doesn't deserve a one star but had to put it down for the review.
