This was my first time embarking into the world of weaves, so I was nervous about how natural it would look and the comfort level of a sew-in. Before I made my actual appointment, Natacha brought me in for a consult and discussed the weave process with me, how it would protect and grow my hair under the sewn-in, and how the leave out would also be cared for and protected. After almost 2 hours of answering all my million and one questions, she gave me suggestions of where to buy good weave based on the style I wanted (I asked because I hadn't the slightest clue) and booked my hair appointment. Fast word to appointment day...I was so excited based on the initial consultation, and Natacha DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I was extremely pleased that she books appointments one person at time, so you don't feel like your waiting forever in between for others to get their hair done too. Natacha made the entire experience pleasant, talking to me about what she she was doing the entire time. Once she was done, I couldn't believe how F-ING AMAZING my hair looked! (Que 45 minutes of selfies and videos) She did an outstanding job at not only laying the weave flat so my hair didn't look bulky, but blending my leave out seamlessly. MY HAIR LOOKED GOOD! Before leaving, Natacha made sure talk to me about how to care for my new hair style, and products needed to do so. Apparently moldy, smelly weaves is a thing, so I listened and took all the notes like a good student. 6 weeks later...MY WEAVE STILL LOOKS FRESH AND SMELLS GREAT. Still getting compliments left and right! Natacha has got some SERIOUS TALENT. WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY. I will be a repeat costumer. So I'm disappointed you decided to put some of them back up again in an attempt to further destroy my character and negatively influence how businesses perceive me on this platform. As a result, I will begin to peruse this matter legally. 1st response to Natacha: I will be looking into legal options for the lies and defamatory statements you have publicly made about me. Everything you said is a lie, and I can prove it. I NEVER said I didn't want to pay for a consultation. I asked for the price so I was prepared with the money when I got there. You responded saying you'd waive the fee without me saying anything. I will post screenshots to prove you are lying. I also didn't refuse to take off my hat. Why would I come in for a HAIR consult and not wanna show my hair?? My hair is NOT damaged and I will post a pic taken the morning of our appointment. It's 22 inches and incredibly healthy. Worst of all, you spread lies about me having open sores on my scalp?? That is not only a bold-faced lie, but it's disgusting and incredibly defamatory. YOU were over 10 minutes late for our 2:30 appointment while I waited outside in the sun. I'll post texts to prove that too. How was I there for 1 hr 35 when I went in at 2:41 and I left at 3:04? That's 23 minutes, which is shorter than our 30 minute consultation time. How dare you! This is proven further since you texted me at 3:09 PM with the name of the hair supplier AFTER I left. I will prove it yet again by posting the text I sent a friend telling her I was still waiting 10 minutes past our appointment time. Still wanna stick with that lie about the time Natacha? When we were done talking, you even looked at your phone and said "oh perfect timing, I have a client in 5 minutes". Please Natacha, pull up security footage from Salon Republic and show the world how fast I left. Our encounter left off on a friendly note with me NOT verbally attacking you and me NEVER begging you to do my hair. You said you'd text me the name of the hair place you recommended. Why would you text me that AFTER I left if I was verbally assaulting you and got kicked out? Please show the footage of us in good spirits and talking friendly while you validated my parking ticket Natacha. You NEVER referred me to a dermatologist either, another lie. You said you wouldn't do the weave because I wouldn't like it. Point blank period. No conversation about the condition of my hair was ever had because there is NOTHING wrong with my hair or scalp. You never even looked at my scalp, just ranted about how you thought I couldn't afford hair. You also never told me you were rejecting me as a client. You said to let you know when I found an extension place I liked, validated my parking, and said "let me know. And that's the God's honest truth. I'm sickened you have chosen to attack my character and even spread lies about my health. You can't make up lies without repercussions. Again, I will be seeking legal advice for these libelous statements you have made. It's egregious and I will do what I can legally to protect myself. (Original Review) I saw Natacha to consult about tape-ins but leaning towards a full sew in so I can protect my hair while I grow it out. Once I asked her about the weave, she told me that she wouldn't do it on me because, in her words, "I don't think you would like it." Hmm... I thought it was up to me to decide whether or not I would like it? I did my research prior; I didn't show up ignorant, but I was treated like it. She then made it seem like the cost of the hair required was going to be a lot, as if that was a problem, which it wasn't. Didn't even matter since she already said she wasn't going to do it, but I was offended she thought money was an issue while knowing nothing about me. When discussing tape-ins, she said she doesn't offer maintenance on them because she can't charge what she feels she should. But she offers application of them...then what? Your client has to go elsewhere after that? Doesn't make sense. I was quite annoyed at that point and eager to leave. Because of this experience, I feared approaching other stylists for a sew in out of fear of rejection. I then saw another stylist and went with a technique I hated and wasted money on hair and services. Fed up, I contacted other stylists to do what I originally wanted. Luckily, I've found many amazing stylists who are more than willing to do my weave without hesitation or false assumptions. There is nothing wrong with my hair and no reason why I was told "no" other than Natacha's desire to think she knows more about me than I do. This should never be how you approach a prospective client, or anybody at all. I do not recommend her.

A few arduous days later she was rushed to the hospital and fell into a coma. 68 days in the hospital. 1 1/2 months in a coma. 1 month in a physical rehab center. She has undergone multiple forms of chemotherapy up to this day. Through it all, she continues to keep her head up. She has received countless blessings and having her with us today is a blessing in itself. Her most recent combination of medications in chemotherapy resulted in her losing her hair. A common side effect of treatment. After two years of being strong, keeping her faith, and having good humor, I witnessed a side effect that isn't labeled on any medication. She didn't feel beautiful. My grandma has always been and continues to be beautiful in my eyes. The fact that she saw herself as anything less, broke my heart. People say, it's just hair. True, it is just hair when it's a choice. When you lose your hair to illness, it can effect you more than a drastic haircut you know will grow back. All my life I've been told how beautiful my hair is and how I should never cut it. Like I said before, it's a choice. It's my choice. Just as my grandma has chosen to selflessly be there for me, I chose to be there for her. Thanks to Hair Couture Designs, all that has become possible! They made a wig out of my hair for my grandma that has brought light to her beautiful face! She absolutely sparkles! Hand tied, cut, and dyed to perfection! She says it's extremely comfortable too! I had…read morealready tried a couple of other places for a men's hair system and spent a lot of money, but I never felt completely happy with the experience. Being relatively new to hair systems, I didn't always know what questions to ask, and at other places I felt like I was being told what I needed rather than someone really listening to me. Marian was completely different. She took her time, listened to what I wanted, explained my options, and made sure I was happy before I left. Her attention to detail is incredible. She even hand-plucked the hairline, which made a huge difference in making the system look more natural. What really impressed me was what happened AFTER the appointment. Marian continued texting me to see how I was doing. She had suggested that I could remove my system every night and reapply it myself each morning. I initially thought there was absolutely no way I could do that every day! When I told her I was struggling, she told me exactly what tape to buy and patiently walked me through how to do it. Now it literally takes me about two minutes every morning. I can reuse the same tape for at least five days, spray a little alcohol on the tape in the morning, position the system and put it back on. I love it. My previous system was glued on and refreshed about every 14 days. Eventually my scalp would itch, I could feel the glue, and sleeping with it was frustrating. I bought satin pillowcases and even a satin bonnet and would still wake up with bed head. Now I take my system off at night, sleep normally, give my scalp a break, and put it back on in about two minutes the next morning. I honestly can't imagine going back to the old way. Marian isn't someone who just installs a hairpiece and sends you out the door. She teaches you how to live with it and gives you the confidence to manage it yourself. That has been invaluable to me.
