After seeing the cookie challenge on Beard Meets Food we had to stop next time we were in Saginaw. Stopped in with friends and picked up cookies for the family. DATE & TIME OF VISIT: November 1, 2025 @ 5:05pm. They were not busy (there was no one there). AMBIANCE & CLEANLINESS: located in a strip mall, had cute color/decor. From what we could see, it was clean. SERVER: The young blonde girl at the counter didn't say anything to us when we came in and only spoke when we would ask a question (and she was very short/one word answer). Customer service was not her strong suit. We almost walked out due to her not acknowledging us. FOOD: we ordered a six pack of cookies Flavors ordered: chocolate chunk, M&M's, red velvet, banana pudding, mocha, pb oreo something. Taste: we were excited for these cookies due to the reviews and sadly it fell short for us. They were just Meh, no real flavor difference between the varieties, and they had an odd "cake" texture. Flavors all very bland (even with all the mix ins), there was no richness or depth. Size: they are jumbo cookies, so good for sharing! Price: $3.00/each (I believe that was the cost) OVERALL THOUGHTS: Server was not very customer service forward. Cookies were Meh (had way better). Price is good. WOULD I RETURN? As a respected business owner, I loved this bakery! Bought 3 dozen for the office and had nothing but great comments on how good and BIG they were! The lady at the counter helped tremendously and even went out of her way to tell us some costumer favorites! The owner even popped out to say hi! Found out, Heidi even looks like the sign out front! I've heard great things about Heidi's Darn Good Cookies since they were located In City Market and have been wanting to try them. I purchased a dozen at $22 and got 6 different kinds. My favorite was the snickerdoodle. The ones with m & m's, chocolate chips etc were filled from end to end but did have to be warmed up in the microwave to make them soft again. Simple easy display and nice selection. Friendly staff. Cash and credit card accepted. Limited indoor seating. Clean. Lot parking. read more

Went to a dinner and they had these cookies. (1) Was a Key Lime and the, (2) Was a Strawberry or Cherry. It was one of the best cookies I've had in a while especially the Strawberry or Cherry. Can't wait to try other flavors in the future highly recommend. read more

How in creation has this place not been reviewed before? Located right by SVSU, this place is a got dang hidden gem. Many of the cookies are reminiscent of (but not trying to duplicate) those pink Lofthouse cookies you can find at the grocery. While the options rotate, some of the favorite flavor options at my office include : Snickerdoodle, Key Lime, Raspberry Cheesecake, Sugar, and my personal favorite-Blue Moon. They're firm but fluffy cookie is topped with smooth frosting that really brings the flavor home by accentuating the cookie below. The Blue Moon ones really do taste like the real deal and they come with whimsical sprinkles to boot. They also do regular sugar and monster cookies if you have frosting foes in your group. There's a punch card which you will need. The hours are limited but like any bakery worth it's salt, they don't need to be open all day every day. read more

Love. Love the cookies. Love the owner, Mark. Love the atmosphere. Mark is super friendly and we generally chit chat a bit when I go in. He has even saved me boxes for my move. He and his wife, Heidi own this shop and they deserve to succeed. He even had a customer with a peanut allergy who gave him attitude because their cookies were all touching towards the end of the night and he went to the back and got her a sugar cookie. She was about to walk out. Awesome service, right?! He told her he didn't want her upset. Their cookies are huge. $2 a cookie or $10 for a half dozen. Sad I know this by heart. Get your punch card too! I've been able to get a few friends hooked here! read more

Fellow yelper Megan K. brought me here for a snack after a full day. I'd never been to this area before and it looks sort of strange compared to the rest of Saginaw. It's a newer strip mall wisely placed close to SVSU but in the parking lot you can't see much around the immediate vicinity. We didn't get to see Heidi but Mark was extremely welcoming and friendly. He managed to swindle us into buying a half dozen (we had originally asked for two each) and gave us a free cookie on top. The way that he handled the cookies so carefully made me wary of them being too soft, but this would be a boon later. Although I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I managed to finish off four giant cookies. Well, I did not get to try the M&M one since my husband inhaled it when I turned my back. Surprisingly the cookies were STILL soft in the center three days later. To store them I had placed the cookies with the frosted sides touching so they wouldn't spread around; this resulted in the best mistake ever. They were fine on their own but by the time I got back to them, the Raspberry Cheesecake and Snickerndoodle cookies were fused together to make the very best sandwich. The scent and flavours combined were excellent. I will certainly be getting those two again to repeat my mistake when I return to try the other cookies. read more

Let me first off and say every time I go in with my girlfriend I always like to ask the young girl that works there if she's Heidi since it's such a classic dad joke it makes me laugh every time... Now with that being said I'm going to give this place a five star rating because of the unique flavors they bring every day however certain days I have gone some.. not all of the cookies are good some get very dry, it's not such much the places fault as having to prepare that many flavors is a challenge in itself but just be warned if you get a fresh one don't hate the place just simply get another because it can be hit or miss but when it hits it hits hard. read more

These cookies are REALLY good. When I come into town I stop at Heidi's and get a dozen cookies. They are a special treat for the drive home.

The cookies are giant, soft, and delicious! There was a great variety to choose from. The snickerdoodle is heavenly!

Love Heidi's cookies! Their M&M cookies are to die for! You have to get there early because they run out and you'll be sorry!
