Indeed, I have been here before, and in many ways so have you if you experienced a few dive bars around the Reeperbahn. They're all pretty much the same. The general attributes of such a bar are: - it's cheap - kinda dirty looking - you can smoke - popular drinks are Astra beer and Mexicana shots - they have a jukebox and decent music - often (but not always) quite dark - mostly everyone is hideously drunk It can be a very good night out then!

The drink selection is very good and the ambiance is very nice. My only complaint was the level of service I received. It was myself and two other tourists there, and the waiter was too busy entertaining his friends and checking on others that he completely ignored us. We attempted to get his attention on several occasions to get our bill because we had to leave, and from the time we initially got his attention to the time we paid our bill and left, was approximately 20 minutes. I felt that the service could have been a lot better.
