Hubbers and I had time to finally take a tour bus through Merida. Along with his cousin, we came…read morethrough a bit early so we decided to go somewhere and get something to help cool us off this hot and humid day.
Right across the street was this place, so we didn't have to trek too far.
Tons of seating and tables available so we weren't worried about that. Hubbers went for a mango sorbet and I wanted to try something new so I went for the guanabana.
While waiting, I told Hubbers the name sounds familiar. Then it dawned on me: it's the same moniker as the one we went to after bike riding a few days before. Good to know!
They are popular. There were endless customers coming through mainly just to have something to help deal with the heat, and then on their merry way. We took our time since we weren't in a hurry.
Loved my guanabana sorbet. It wasn't too sweet, it didn't melt fast and it was simply refreshing. It's probably the first time in a long time I finished a dessert all by myself.
I got to try Hubbers' mango sorbet - a bit too sweet for me, but refreshing nonetheless.
Keeping them on my radar should I need to cool off the next time I come through.
