She didn't respond after that but 20 minutes isn't a big deal. Upon arrival, I noticed that their brooms, mop and cleaning supplies needed to be replaced. Having witnessed the condition of those cloths wipe the surfaces of my appliances and furniture was already a red flag. It was too late to cancel but seeing dirty broom heads, abused mopping sticks and buckets that looked like they were used to deep clean skid row gave me enough anxiety as I tried not to watch. Both of them didn't speak English so I had assistance from a Spanish speaking translator call them to explain what I specifically needed as already requested to Esmeralda prior to the booking which definitely was not understood even after the translation occurred. I said I didn't need a major clean since my place was nearly spotless and that I just needed the floors and surfaces sanitized. My sister stayed over for a night and was sick and being the germaphobe that I am, I only needed all surfaces disinfected which would take less than 20 minutes in a small one bedroom if I did it myself. For some reason I thought they'd do a better job than me but lesson learned! I was aware of the $100 minimum so I requested that they clean my bath tub and sinks which looked worse after they left. This was only to fill up the time because there's no way my requirement would take up a full hour! The younger woman starts cleaning stuff I never requested such as my keyboard, speakers and other appliances which gets dusted weekly and books going through little crevices of things that were not even asked to be cleaned. She spent an excessive amount of time trying to clean parts that I requested not to be touched and they did the floors last which took them about 10-15 minutes! After they left, I felt like the place was even more grimier. I had to furnish them with booties because they wore their shoes in my apartment and I live in downtown LA which... enough said. You would imagine that a request for sanitizing floors would mean some form of protection from dirty shoes worn outside as they dragged in more bacteria and germs into my home for the first ten minutes. The floors were cleaned with insufficient cleaning solution; it looked like a bucket of water with lord knows what chemical mixed in and a dirty rag attached to a mop head that has seen better days. After they left, I did a quick wipe through all of the counters with disinfectant wipes and sprayed it all down. There were smears everywhere on the surfaces and the floors were definitely not clean. I went through 8 wet Swiffers, only 5 were shown in the photo because I threw the other 3 in the garbage. As shown, the floors definitely were not sanitized. Once again, my place usually stays immaculate at all times and to hire this company with a specific request to clean my floors and surfaces was an epic mistake. I gave the ladies a $20 tip because they were kind and did their bare minimum but the job was under one hour as they left at around 3 ish. For $120 I would expect atleast my floors not to be disgusting. I had to purchase more cleaning supplies and re-do everything again! Also, I thought it was $75/hour. They didn't even make it to the hour mark so they get a D for honest advertising. Really professional on the no bill/receipt part either. To the owner, it would really help if you supplied your cleaners with better supplies and products and maybe guided them with some level of standards of how to properly sanitize. I'm not sure what they cleaned the bathtub with because it looks exactly the same. Total waste of money but A+ for their availability. Next time hire yourself and use your own quality products.

Nancy, the owner, replied to my message with a decent price and was available for the following week. Nancy and another person showed up on time to my mom's house. My mom said they looked like Ghostbusters with all their cleaning supplies, some strapped on their back. My mom was thoroughly impressed with their cleaning: bathroom scrubbed, walls wiped down, dusted all knicknacks, and etc. In short, my mom loved their cleaning and I will definitely be hiring Sparkle and Clean in the near future.

When he finally did contact me it was some excuse about how his employees "don't want to work" and that he couldn't contact me because he "has another job". They were able to get us scheduled quickly and came the very next day, which I appreciated. The arrival window was 12-1pm, but they showed up closer to 1:45. I told the three ladies everything we wanted done: floors, kitchen, bathroom, baseboards, furniture, windows, etc. They got straight to work and were very efficient. I also specifically asked that they use only our cleaning products due to having a newborn and personal allergies. At one point, my husband noticed they were using their own product and had to remind them to switch back to ours. This frustrated me quite a bit, especially since I had mentioned this to the office as well the day before. We had booked 3 hours, but they finished in about 2 hours and seemed rushed overall. A few areas were missed, including under some appliances, parts of the baseboards, the windows, and dusting our console table and dining room table. When my husband reminded them about the windows before they left, it was wiped quickly with a cloth rather than properly cleaned, which felt a bit rushed. I had mentioned the windows specifically when they first arrived, so it was frustrating that they missed it and when reminded, they wiped it down very quickly. Communication was a little awkward. If they had a question, they would call their office, and then the office would call us. I completely understand there may be a language barrier, but it did make the process feel less smooth and made us feel as though we couldn't specify our wants directly. We did ask for a small discount due to the late arrival. They were hesitant, but ultimately took $20 off. Overall, the areas they did clean were done pretty well, and I appreciated that they wore shoe coverings in our home.
