HelloTech doubled the cost of my TV installment midway through the job. The service was supposed to be $70 and after already drilling into the wall i recieved a call from hellotech informing me that they needed to charge an additional $75 to complete the job... This hidden additional charge ended up more than doubling the cost of the tv installment which was extremely frustrating. I will not be working with hello tech again. I would use Rafael the technician again, he was great, however the practice by hello tech of doubling price midway through a job is questionable. read more

We were told by Hell tech that our service man would be accompanied by a helper, he came alone. Manufacturer reccomemds 2 people, set requires special handling, led very sensitive. He was drilling a wall and asked me (73 years old) to stand under the mirror to hold Incase it came down. The mirror is very heavy and I certainly would have suffered serious injury. He hung the tv over a dresser. I asked him to place the cord through a very large hole under the TV, response that would cost xtra. He requested $100. He told us, he only does the hanging, anything else is xtra. The screws he used came with washers provided by tv manufacturer, he didn't use them. The tv has a feature that allows you to move it forward or up and down. Learned there is a special device attached to the movement device to enable the user to move the tv, unable to get there to loosen the device. I see the special device in the screw bag. I had some questions, he left very quickly. read more

Tech was very knowledgeable about friendly. It was definitely a pleasure meeting him and I would highly recommend him.

Paid the fee, connected remotely to the employee. He then left me for 26 minutes and I had to reach out to the chat window on the website to request someone else. Then, mid-conversation, the chat person took approx. 10 minutes to respond to my message too. It was a mess! Plus, the person did nothing but click around and then tell me I need more RAM. I tried to call the 800 number to speak with someone but the automated message said I did not have access to use that number. I emailed the company to ask to be connected with a supervisor or called by one but that was over an hour ago and no response and no email. read more

Called to have a Nest Hello doorbell installed. They were super nice and made sure to get a tech out quickly. The first problem was that they didn't listen to what I said. I informed them we had a problem with the doorbell when we installed it (burning smell from the chime and a humming noise) and that I needed a pro because the install wasn't proving to be simple. All they heard was "blah blah blah i need a doorbell installed blah blah blah" and sent a regular tech out. The second problem was that the tech wasn't a licensed electrician so they couldn't install it. The third problem is when I called to make sure they didn't charge me and requested they sent the right sort of tech out, they said they had to have a supervisor call me. Naturally, they never called, I'm still waiting, and still no doorbell. The tech at least was super nice. I wouldn't call these folks again. Either they don't know what they are doing or they are trying to do a bait-and-switch (sure! We'll install that for a low price! and then show up and tell you it'll cost you more). Either way is bad news. **Edit - HelloTech finally called me back. They arranged for another tech to come out that could fix my issue. The rep I talked to actually listened and was helpful, he personally called a new tech to arrange for them to come out the next day and identify the problem. I ended up cancelling anyway because in the interim, my husband installed a different doorbell that worked. However, HelloTech did try to fix the problem. While it doesn't alleviate the stress involved with their mistake, it does make me want to give them another chance. I'll just probably have to micromanage future appointments a little closer. read more

I highly, recommend using HelloTech. We contacted HelloTech, to mount our new 55" TV over our fireplace and connect a sound bar, DVR and blue ray player. The price was this service was very reasonable. Our technician was Bryan Tallis. We were very pleased with the installation and service provided. Bryan, took the time to assure that we satisfied with the service provided before leaving. I only gave a 4 star, not for the service provided by Bryan the technician, but, the overall service with HelloTech. The technician did not show up at the initial request, 11 a.m. I had to inquire about the status of the technician and was told that no one had accepted their request for service in my area. I didn't have a problem with this, I just would have liked to have known the status, without my having to initiate the status. I was told that an update would be provide within the hour of the status. HelloTech, came through and provided a Tech and service was rescheduled at 4:30 p.m, the same day. read more
