In a nutshell, I hired Magnolia Roofing and Construction to do a job. I gave them what I thought…read morewas ample opportunity to fix the mistakes they made. They did not meet my expectations, and we ended up going to court. They were ordered to refund 62% of my money. I hired Magnolia Roofing and Construction to replace the flashing around my chimney, and replace all the exhaust pipe boots. They came out did the job with the wrong color flashing. They came back a spray painted it black. The flashing and one of the boots leaked, so they came back added more silicone. I still had leaks, so they redid the entire job. And the flashing and one of the boots still leaked. Damage started occurring inside my home. Once again they came back and added more silicone, but that didn't solve the problem. I set an appointment with owner Justin Herringto so he could see for himself what going on and the subpar work his crew did. Mr. Herrington stood me up, and ghosted me. I filed a lawsuit in Jones County Justice Court. Case number BK-9296-PG-21-CV. Our court date was October 24, 2023. Magnolia Roofing and Construction argued they gave me a three year workmanship warranty. The judge said I didn't give them ample opportunity to fix their mistakes, and that I threw away the remaining warranty by having another company come in and do the job. Magnolia Roofing and Construction was ordered to refund 62% of what I paid them and cover the court costs, but they were not held responsible for the expenses I had to bring the case to court, or the costs of repairing the damaged ceiling on the interior of my house.
