They petitioned the court and guided us on our successful bid to obtain guardianship of our grandaughter. Thankfully, the guardianship was finalized in September. Unfortunately though, their business practices are 2nd-rate. After the initial retainers were paid, they neglected to keep us updated on the balance owed on our account. No emails, no summaries, no letters, no running balance. And then 9 months -AFTER- the court proceedings wrapped up, they filed suit against the grandparents to collect an outstanding balance owed. I was served with papers threatening suit if over $900 wasn't rendered immediately. In my opinion, this was a very shoddy business practice. Of course I paid.

I received a call regarding a bill but my address was recorded incorrectly. My divorce was granted in May of 2022 and I received an email from her stating that she would pick up my decree and get me 2 notarized copies and mail them to me. This was an extra service that I paid for because I had a lot on my plate at the time (my ex husband was moving back to Wales and so we were figuring out the finances for that since I still care about him--we just didn't work out.), so I didn't want to have to think about my divorce. I trusted her. Queue about 6 months ago when my ex asked me to take a picture of our decree for paperwork he's doing and I email Lucinda asking if I ever got a decree (it was a year and a half ago so I figured I forgot.) Sure enough, Lucinda said she mailed it within 5 days of the divorce being granted, so I went to the courthouse for copies thinking I just lost mine. WRONG. The decree had never been picked up and filed, I had never received copies, and my divorce was not finalized. Does Lucinda take accountability for this oversight in her paid service? No. She blames me for not keeping on top of her to do her job. So now I'm having to get ahold of an actual professional and pay hundreds more to get my divorce actually finalized. Lucinda did update her book of an automated email to add that its the clients responsibility to keep up with their own court documents, which is antithetical to the extra service she charges for that essentially said the opposite. Horrible horrible! If you're okay with babying someone through the job you're paying them to do, then carry on. If you want to trust a company to complete the service they provide, seek help elsewhere....

It would be wise to ASK people what they want from your firm before being so very arrogant. I'll tell stories the rest of my life about the ridiculous rant I heard from one of the attorneys. My advice: do not under any circumstance call this firm. I've used attorneys in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Dublin, as well as Dallas and Oklahoma City. This firm struck me as a clown show, and a rude one at that. Another firm took my case within minutes of these people being so rude and stupid.
