I can see myself traveling to Luleå just to dine here again. This evening, me and my friends were served what is very close to a perfect three course dinner at the two and a half year old Hemmagastronomi. Since today was the international Gin & Tonic day we started with a somewhat bland GT (although my GT loving friend liked it so I might be wrong), but after that things really took off! Starting with an amazing steak tartare with mustard créme, cabbage crisps and shavings from a Jokkmokk cow milk cheese called "Skabram". Quite possibly the best dish of the evening when perfectly paired with a Matassa Cuvée Romanissa 2014. The main course was lamb with owen baked carrot (as well as thin carrot slices), turnip cabbage and ramson mayo. Another perfectly balanced dish which worked really well with a bottle of 2010 Domaine de la Chevalerie Busardières. A small chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, passion fruit (in two different variations) and some salty merengue was the perfect ending to our meal. Price/performance is through the roof which makes this a must visit if you're around the northern part of Sweden (and maybe even if you happen to be in Smygehuk in the south).

My absolutely new favorite in the North of Sweden. I have been here now twice and could go every day. This is the type of restaurant that I am missing since I moved from the US. The food is top notch and the waiter service is phenomenal. Have a look at my posted pictures for this restaurant. This restaurant is also a butcher shop, cheese shop and bakery. Behind the counter you can see the open kitchen and nearly the same room is the restaurant with a small bar. You can sit either at a long table or on high tops or direct at the bar. The restaurant area is small but nice and cozy. Book a table online to reserve your place. The waitresses are very attentive. The menu is great and has a huge variety of fresh prepared food (meat, fish, cheese and more). Normally I am not a huge fan of desserts, but here you can go crazy. Just download the menu from their homepage and enjoy. Oh, I just forgot a very important information about the beverages. The wine list is huge and has a variety all over the world, but that's not the main thing. As far as I know, this is the only place where you can drink beer from the local microbrewery in Luleå. This brewery is called Bottenvikens Bryggeri and they brew a lot of different beer styles. I tried a lot of their brews and they were all excellent. Do not miss to order a beer from Bottenvikens Bryggeri when you eat here. This restaurant is way different than other typical restaurants. Check it out and you will be surprised. Thumbs up for this place.

What a great restaurant. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Probably the best steak that I have had in years. Went back for the Halibut and it was just as amazing. Muscles were better the first time but still very good. Top it off with a blossom beer and you are set. Must eat here when in town !! read more
Having missed the lunch hour for our dog sled adventure, but not wanting to be full before dinner (only 4 hours later), we stopped in for some snacks. The deli space is what you'd expect with a table for about 4 for those having a coffee. There are cured meats and cheeses on display in the case. Take a number for ordering those. There are drinks, baked goods, packaged meat and cheese plates, and more ready for quick pick up. We got a meat and cheese plate and 2 pastries for ourselves, and some pepparkakor, havtorn marmelade, and reindeer chips to take home as souvenirs. All were enjoyed! read more

Went there during the COVID times, which were hard for restaurants. The price was insanely high, while the burger was burned (clearly) and plain. Meat quality was good. They had nice music and the location is also nice at the harbour. They have nice outside seating and they serve Stiegl if you care for this. If the restaurant would be 60% of the price, I guess it would be fine. If you have the choice, there are other places around. read more

Trendy, casual, and obviously a popular little restaurant. Exactly what I was in the mood for-- cozy array of seating choices for a group or individual surrounds the kitchen-- if you so choose you can watch their every move. The ambiance is perfect for such a modern style restaurant- music, lighting, nailed it! Friendly staff. Extensive beverage choices, for me of note- of course- wine. Food selection to please all. Personally I opted for the special-- Asian style ramen with the TDF bbq pork 1/2 sandwiches in a bread that was almost as soft as a marshmallow, but light and amazing. I'd give anything for the recipe or source . Definitely will come back. read more

On vacation here in Luleå and found this amazing gastro pub. The bread was good, the butter was pure addiction. I try not to eat too much bread before a meal, but today I was all in. We had the duck appetizer, 4 strips split among 3, delicious. For the main I had veal and wow, it was so good. Then I realized there was a spicy garlic butter on the side which took the veal to the highest level. The asparagus was crisp and fresh, the potatoes soaked in saucy goodness. That along with half a bottle of Bordeaux made for a perfect meal. read more

Anybody who is planning a night out for simply the pleasure of high quality food and wine should consider this location. My experience was a joyful one! I was introduced to all my courses with great detail and also recommended wines that suited each course. The evening was very enjoyable and I had a great view of the sea from the restaurant window. Highly recommended to anybody who appreciates the best quality of food!, drink and service. read more

Great location, amazing food. The buttered lobster is heavenly, the best we've tasted in all our travels. The only downside is the seats. Tables are very close to each other and the stools could do with a bit of padding considering the amount of time you'll WANT to stay there and enjoy the outstanding dishes. read more
