Mike called me and not only informed me of what was needed for the 4w drive but the water pump and master cylinder required attention. The repair work was done in a very short time. I can't be happier with this shop. Now the repairs weren't cheap but honestly I thought it was going to be much higher, so I was happy with it. There was another issue with the engine that they found during the inspection and that was the rear seal is leaking. At this time I wasn't prepared to have it fixed but when I am ready for the repair it's only going to be done by Myers garage. In fact I'm not taking any of my vehicles anywhere else. With some help putting on the donut spare, we limped into Lizton and asked if there was a repair shop nearby. A volunteer fireman pointed us to Myers Garage. Not only did they repair the tire in a timely fashion, but we enjoyed the conversation with the owner, who gave us tips on tire-buying and got to pet the owner's dog. I moved to Martinsville in 2019. Of course as soon as we got here my car started having problems. I…read morehad asked on Facebook on which mechanic was the best in the area. There was many replies but one stuck out. Mike's Automotive. When I called the shop, Mike answered immediately. He told me to drop my car off and leave my key in the box and he would take a look at it in the morning. When about 11am rolled around I got a return call from Mike. He told me that my oil pan was leaking due to it being over tightened, more then likely at my last oil change. I told him I went to Jiffy Lube and he said it's pretty uncommon but that he could fix it by welding in a new plug so it would save me some money. He has always been honest, straight forward and has ways done an amazing job. He was the one who told me that he could fix that car later down the road when it was time to call it quits but that he wasnt going to lie to me. He said I would be better off getting another car. I listened to him and thanked him for being honest. I now have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT, which he just did work on with no real prior notice. On my way home on 11/18/2024, my Mazda went into "Limp Mode" on SB 69 heading home from work. I had my car towed to Mike's. I called him with it being almost 8pm and he answered with no hesitation. It was like greeting an old friend. He told me he would look at it in the morning but to call him again so he could write everything down. I did as he asked and he told me he would look at it and get me an estimate. Around 12pm, I recieved a call from Mike with a very straight forward and confident answer. He gave me the estimate and it was much less then I thought it would be as it felt like my cars engine had fallen out getting it to the side of the road to be towed. Mike worked with my schedule and even stayed late for me to make my payment. I am beyond thankful for Mike and will always have him as my mechanic even if I move from Martinsville. I would highly recommend him to any one of my friends and family.
