Plus Thunderbird serves as a good supporting steel coaster for when you get tired of the wooden coasters, and Good Gravy, while it is not as thrilling as the rest of the coasters as it is intended for the younger set, makes up for its lack of thrills with a very kitschy indoor queue themed to a grandmother's house. And don't skip the water park. The water park, Splashin Safari, is better than the widely lauded Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, at least in terms of water coasters, and the lines are much shorter, so you can actually enjoy the water coasters without buying a fast pass, which cannot be said of Schiltterbahn. Additionally, the park some charming flats for when you want thrills from something other than a coaster, including the rare Hrubetz Round-Up, which doesn't give you a seat, but has you stand against the wall and relies on centripetal forces to keep you in place. Plus there are a bunch of things this park offers its guests for free, like free parking, free drink refills, and free sunscreen that you have to pay for at other parks that make the Holiday World experience so much nicer, even if you're not a passholder. All this is complemented by some charming theming centered around the major holidays, namely Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, as well as the major holiday of the summer, Independence Day. And if all these holiday goodness has you hankering for a grand holiday dinner, Holiday World has just the place in Plymouth Rock Cafe. This restaurant serves a Thanksgiving turkey dinner, along with some other meats with all the fixings, that is as hearty as the one you get at home. And, despite being in an amusement park, the pricing is in line for a holiday dinner at a restaurant outside of an amusement park. However, I do wished they also served the meat of Christmas dinner, ham, alongside turkey. The only knock I have on Holiday World is I find it terribly ironic, given their Thanksgiving and Christmas theming, that Holiday World is not open for the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. While such an event would need to preclude Splashin Safari due to cold temperatures, I would love to come when the weather fits the holiday atmosphere, even if it means needing to bundle up, both to see how a park themed to Christmas can look at night, and to get a lot more night rides in when the sun sets around 5pm instead of 9pm. But until then, the wonderful slice of Christmas in July that Holiday World provides will more than suffice.

Well I can't blame rainy weather on them. We thought it…read morewould be a novel idea to try staying in a teepee overnight. The pictures on the website looked promising. Our adventure started with the entrance drive. Lots of low spots filled with water. Needed a load of gravel. Check in was easy to find with signage, plus. Our teepee flap was open and the inside was wet. Most of the other teepee seemed to be on wooden decks. Ours was on 3 foot uneven sections of black plastic squares... think plastic milk or storage crates. Large open areas in the plastic. The sides of the teepee were 4 to 6 inches above the plastic deck... any critters could have came on in! They supplied 4 aluminum framed army cots. We knew we had to bring our own bedding or sleeping bags. We also choose to stay here because it was pet friendly. My dog was afraid of the slick open grate flooring. I was afraid she would sneak out the open bottom of the teepee, yes big enough for our 34 lb girl to go under. We decided to fold the seats down in our SUV and sleep in there to keep dry. My husband decided at 11 pm that this was nuts and we were leaving. One for the memory book. I would not recommend staying here. The facilities really have neglected maintenance. The restroom facility was marginal...think gas station restroom. I gave it one star because I think 5 to 10 year old boys would love this place in the summer. The rest if us adults need to find a glamping experience. The price was reasonable, you get what you pay for.

Let me start with this, this is our groups 14th or 15th visit. I wouldn't spend the money if I…read morewasn't certain that there is definitely something paranormal about that house. Sometimes on our visits nothing does happen, after all it is not GHOST ON DEMAND ,On this particular Night in August 2025 it started like a lot of our visits not a lot of activity. We brought our own Rem Pod (Device that lights up multi colored lights when energy is close to it) and We use an app Called Spirit Talker that I have downloaded on MY phone. It was a fairly quiet night, As it got close to the end of our visit, We decided to finish it out in the attic. We were all in the little space on the 3rd floor, the room with the with the mirrors and a Ouija Board. We started calling on Big Black,I've read about him in some of the reviews. It is suppose to be A Black Shadowy mist that I personally had never encountered but I thought What the heck lets try. My app started Interacting with us immediately. It was actually answering all the Questions. I felt a cold chill and that's when my Phone said "Its me I'm making it cold in here" When I asked if it was Big Black my phone replied "Yes I'm here Don' t mess with me." The next phrase was Malevolent, That Got our attention. Our entire group was Trapped in that small Space. We heard a loud bang at the area where we had sat our Rem Pod in between the space that we were in and the exit to get down the stairs, That's when The shadowy Mist past right in front of the Rem Pod!!!! The Rem Pod Glowed Red And lit up the whole attic ..We have had this Rem Pod for at least a year and have NEVER seen it light up that Bright ,and one color. JUST RED!!!!! All the equipment that we were using belonged to us,so no chance of anything being rigged, We couldn't get out of that attic fast enough. I know it sounds crazy but cant wait to go back again, We have had so many experiences at Whispers its unbelievable. You just have to be patient and Listen. Honestly I don't know what it is about that house but it literally calls us back... Curiosity maybe??? Or is it something more? Not Sure I really want to know. I Just know its not your ordinary house.

She told me they needed 10 days advance. I told her it didnt state that on the website. She told me I can speak to the owner so I did and reminded him of the conversation we had on the 22nd. He basically recapped it, but then when I told him he didnt call me back I was called "pissy" "asshole" and a "bitch" before I was hung up on. Prior to being hung up on I did tell him I had been there 2 other times and no cussing was needed. He told me he wasn't Walmart and he didnt need to listen to my problem...so we will NOT be staying there EVER again.
