When we got to our seats, we saw that the background on the stage said "Divas of Soul" and at 7 PM the audience was informed that it was a 90 minute show with an intermission. We felt like we were totally misled about the show, even though it was good. My husband and I ended up missing our dinner reservation because of the length of the show. Do better Alhambra!!! Advertise your show and times correctly. We drove 2 1/2 hours to see a Tina Turner show and that's not what we were given. On the plus side the theater is beautiful. A few colleagues and I had lunch at The Place (great restaurant next door) then wandered here. The moment I walked in, I knew I liked it. As a matter of fact, I would like this anywhere, but being a little gem in downtown Hopkinsville made it that much more special. You can find jewelry, greeting cards, children's items, home items, some locally made items, art, and a variety of other items in this sweet store. The owner is apparently an artist, and I heard they also do painting classes in the studio as well. (The back portion of the space looked like a studio; the front space was more of a boutique/store.) The employees were so friendly. I believe I was talking to the mother of Griffin, while Griffin herself was further in the back working. It seemed as though they would gift wrap gifts; though most of what I bought was for myself. Without a doubt, make this a stop when you're in Hopkinsville! The strip it is on has some other neat looking stores (including an ice cream/candy shop), so you could even just do some window shopping if so desired. P.S. My one hope/suggestion would be for more clarity on where/who some of the art/jewelry comes from. For example, I bought this awesome bracelet, and I'd love to know who made it.

The overall feel leans towards a more female touch, but it has an appeal for anyone young or old. Locals should visit to see things the average gift or boutique store just will not have. People visiting from out of town should visit to see one of the more unique businesses in town that does not fall on the usual radar of area places to visit. You might have seen similar places in neighboring areas with art communities but this one has a one of a kind Hopkinsville feel to it.

Maybe because I went to a matinee on a weekday, I wasn't searched. But I also brought a very small, clear bag that showed I was only carrying the bare essentials. The ticket prices (I saw two movies) are the lowest I've seen, around 12 bucks. I realize they are more expensive for evening shows, but this is still beyond reasonable. The theaters are large and the recliners are comfy. They have stadium seating and some theaters have partitions. They have swivel tables for food. In the beginning of the show, if you order at the concession stand, they'll bring your food to you. I had a couple of their drinks (yes, you can have cocktails while you watch). They are sugary and nothing spectacular, but that's okay. It's a theater staffed by high school and college aged students, not cocktail connoisseurs. I was hungry between movies, so I had some of their cheese fries. Again, okay. The fries themselves were hot and well seasoned, but I could have done without all the nacho cheese and ranch dressing (I realize that's the appeal for some people). For a large plate of cheese fries and a double shot drink, I paid about 38 bucks. Honestly, that isn't crazy to me given what I ordered. They also have popcorn, pretzels (which is what I wanted, but they were unable to make them that day), hotdogs, pizza, burgers. They also have places to sit in the lobby as well as a small table you can park at to eat. Everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. Some of them were very conversational about the films playing. The auditoriums were clean, as were the bathrooms. I am pleased with my experience here and think this was just the first of many matinees in my future.

This is the summertime spot! It's worth the money for a membership hands down. I don't play golf…read morebut it's a "popping" golf spot and place for young families. Pool: Their diving board is amazing and the very large pool isn't generally too crowded (even on Saturdays). Unfortunately, the pool isn't always clean. Lifeguards seem to be for insurance purposes and not particularly attentive. The lifeguards are friendly, tanning teens whose real work is rolling down umbrellas at 7. Staff: The staff are incredibly accommodating. They are happy to bring members whatever they want. I think the club keeps members because they make members feel special and catered to. They always remember my mother's drink order and are kind to all of her guests. They bring a draft beer to the pool, a chicken sandwich to the patio, etc. etc. Food: They have a snack stand by the pool with candies, burgers, dogs, and tiny servings of fries. Small bar but always an IPA on draft and AMAZING fried chicken. Tennis: There are devastating tennis courts in the back of the golf course. The clay courts have grown over with mildew, one set of courts has succumbed to a sink hole in the middle, and one set of courts is playable! Unfortunately, the playable ones have benches that are not secured and sitting on one side causes them to topple over, so be very careful. The good news is they're always open! There is a small tennis room near the courts with balls and squeegees for the courts. It's a nice spot, but lacks attention. It's great when it's unlocked so players can use the fridge and court materials. The space just needs to be unlocked and picked up daily and locked again at the end of the day. Overall, the club is easy going, accommodating and a great place for families.

Yes, there are closer places to play, but this one is by far the best! All the people who work there are great- non-smoking, they have a small bit of concession, and you win a lot !
