After swimming our way through buckets, turning off the water main and sopping up the water in the kitchen, we quickly pulled up Yelp to search for 1.) a plumber and 2.) a restoration business to save us from further, long term damage. By 8:30 AM that same morning, Corbin arrived to save the day. His communication was professional and educational from start to finish. He was able to take a less than fun situation and turn it into a palatable experience. By 8:30am Corbin and crew were already at our house with diagnostic equipment and a water damage mitigation plan. He was extremely patient to explain the whole process, start to finish, and even helped us understand the steps to filing an insurance claim. His team worked weekend days to get the work done quickly, and 4 days after we woke up to a kitchen waterfall we were all dry again. Of course, parts of our kitchen had to be removed and demolished to get all the air-moving equipment access to dry out the walls, but even the contractors coming to patch everything back up were impressed with how careful the Restorex team was to only demolish what was necessary to carry out their mitigation plans. So happy we found Restorex when we were up a creek without a paddle!

He told me he can have someone out the same day (afternoon). I received a text that Mark was on his way and he showed up as scheduled and advised. I explained the problem and he started working on the outdoor unit. He never went to the basement where my Unit is located, only outside. I asked him if he would advise the cost of the repair before doing the work and he said yes and reminded me of the $85 Diagnostics Visit and I said ok. 15-20 Minutes later Mark said he replaced the Capacitor and the total was $300. The AC was working and I was satisfied, but a little disappointed he did not advise the cost before repairing. But the $300 to me was very fair and I was still happy it was repaired. Three days later my AC was not working again so I called and spoke to Mark. He seemed busy and uninterested in my issue (but that may be my misunderstanding his tone). He told me he could not come that day, but possibly the next morning but more than likely the afternoon. He said he would contact me in the next few hours to let me know what time he could have someone to me the next day. Over four hours later I had to reach out to him to find out when he would be there the next day, but he said it would be tomorrow afternoon (I needed morning). So I said disregard, I will find another company. I purchased a whole new Furnace and AC System from another company. I would have used Vital Heating & Air for the replacement if Matt would have contacted me like he said he would. And, I found out that Mark installed the capacitor without tightening it correctly and it fell inside the unit and burnt the electrical and kicked the breaker, which caused the unit to stop working.

Through his incompetence, he flooded the entire basement, including the finished part. We have been out of pocket almost $7000 for the cleanup and repairs, and the owner of Efficient has ignored our invoices, phone calls and emails. He apparently has no intention of reimbursing us. We even had to contest the charge for the service call on our credit card, because he refused to refund the almost $500 we had paid the technician for a year's service plan just minutes before being told that our basement was flooded. DISHONEST COMPANY

We sold the building and they claimed I signed a contract that I had to give them 30 days notice plus they would charge an additional 30 days after that billing cycle. When we canceled the contract, we were only one week into the billing cycle and they for that month plus an additional month. Pretty practices. Glad I'll never have to deal with them again.
