In want of a good henna job, I went to Yelp to find the nearest (and best reviewed place) in St. Louis. St. Louis Henna had rave reviews, so I decided to give Suman a call. She answered and quickly scheduled me for an appointment as soon as I landed in town. Completed in her home, she was professional and made sure I loved the job. I received henna on both hands, partial arms and some fingers. The cost was great and she was really quick. It's been 11 days, and the designs are still hanging on. I took her advice on caring for the henna and it worked great! I am pretty sure I would have paid her a visit before I left town, but she was heading to India for vacation. Suman is a very sweet person and you will not be sorry of her worked. She offered me the option to bring in photos, but I opted to just allow her to free-style on me. I had been looking for someone to do some Henna tattooing for a little while. I saw the mention on Yelp about St Louis Henna, but there wasn't much info so I just kept looking. That was my first mistake! When I called Suman she was very quiet, soft spoken, but answered all of my questions professionally. I scheduled an appointment for the next day and my girlfriend and I headed out! We went to her home and headed to her "studio"..... She is a very multi-talented woman! She also works at a salon on Tuesdays. We waited behind a lovely woman who was there getting her own Henna fix. Said she has been seeing Suman for over a year! We had a wonderful visit while waiting our turn. Our turn!! We both asked for free handed instead of a picture or something specific. It takes much less time and she is spot on!! Quick on the texts and definitely a no-hassle process, Suman's professionalism & detailed work exceeded all expectations. My wedding was built around the idea of worldly special touches & traditions. Gathering inspiration from India to Germany to Japan to Venezuela, some touches & traditions were noticeable while others were mine to fancy all by myself! Hands-down, the most notable tradition was the work of Suman's featured on the Bridal Party's feet. Not to mention, her patience. When I hired Suman for my "Maids Bonding Sesh" the day before my wedding, she estimated 15-30 minutes per set of feet. However, when the day came - myself & my Maids selected more extravagant henna designs than what we originally discussed. Without a question or doubt in mind, Suman created the most beautiful designs for all six girls over a 5 hour span. Again, her patience did not dwindle as the tedious day carried on.
