Finding magazine articles of interest to me on a database and printing out the articles instead is very time consuming. Few books of interest to me are placed at this library. Books placed at this library have been absent from the shelf. I dislike having to wait a week or more for book requests to get to this library. I plan not to interact with any employee when I use this library.

Then, you have to climb stairs to get to the library action. However, once up there, it is a pretty big library and we like their kids section, too. There are just enough books to choose from and there is a pretty good play space for the kids to burn calories while you hunt for books. We find the staff to be helpful as well. Note - I just saw something that this location may be closing soon for a major construction/rebuild project, so if true, you may have to head to the Grandview location.

Along with books of course! There is a full kitchen set up that around 4-8 kids can play with. They have magna tiles and puzzles along with Lincoln logs. There are thousands of kids books and they are getting new books each month! There are zero late fees which is so nice because it's easy to forget it loose a book from time to time. Overall it's a great location and a great place to play, learn and meet new people!

It looks like a historic building, is well kept and well stocked. There are lots of areas represented from children's materials, references and periodicals, and books to check out. The Roosevelt room is for meetings and hosts things like tutor sessions for students at the high school across the street. Another great representation for the Hennepin county system!

First time visit to participate in a kids program. Thanks MIA! Thanks awesome teenage volunteers! We parked in the small lot in the back and walked around the beautiful old building. Inside, a renovation means this little building is looking great too! A great room for small events, a nice play area for tots, a fabulous selection of books (I ended up getting three for myself, which rarely happens bc I'm a reserve list type of gal) Two lovely chatty and knowledgable librarians. Also, you're really close to a lot of good bakeries.
