I called 5 times to different numbers the day of the appointment asking for information on how to access my appointment and left messages. I got a call 2 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was told that they canceled my appointment, but there are no notes or reason as to why it was canceled. I never got a call or email notifying me that it had been canceled, and I had to take time off work to even attend this appointment. I am extremely disappointed. This company is a disservice for people who are in need of medical help.

I'm beginning to lose the little hope I had in getting the proper care and medications for my mental health. I was told by a "psychiatrist" yesterday that I needed to change my life and get away from my family and loved ones if I was so unhappy and dealing with severe anxiety. I was also made to feel like crap about being "just a receptionist" and was told that I need to go to college to become a nurse or a teacher to fulfill my life. I was also told that if I was put back on a medication that has helped me in the past and worked for me, that I would "get myself in trouble with the law and become a drug addict." I was told a "magic pill" isn't going to fix my problems because I "want to stay home with mommy". This woman doesn't know how close I am with my family, she doesn't know how fulfilling my "just a receptionist" job is and has been for me. She CLEARLY doesn't understand that mental health issues are due to a chemical imbalance in the brain, that can't be fixed by simply changing your surroundings. She doesn't know that I've been busting my ASS to pay off debts and am saving money to move out and build my life. She said all of this to me after talking to me for 20 minutes and then prescribed me a pill that is used for migraines, that I was on in the past (for migraines) WITH an anxiety medication. If it didn't work then by its self, it's not going to work now. I didn't get the script filled, and I WILL NOT be back to see this person. I cried during the entire appointment because of how condescending, judgmental and rude she was. While I was crying, she proceeded to grab herself a tissue, blow her nose, and she didn't offer me one. I looked at the tissue box next to me and it was empty. After the appointment upon finding a website full of AWFUL reviews about this "doctor" that she uses this as a metaphor. How sickening!!! Half way through, I spoke up and said "Clearly we have a misunderstanding or you're just not listening to what I'm saying to you, because I am more than well aware that these issues I have are not due to the people/situations around me, its because of a chemical imbalance in my brain. "Dr." Susan Charlamb is a horrible human and she should NOT be practicing psychiatry. The mental health care in this country needs to be regulated better and these "doctors" need to be inspected and monitored regularly. I left that office in worse shape than when I walked in the door. I will be reporting her to the board of psychiatry and whatever else I need to do to make it known what kind of a "doctor" she is. It is utterly heartbreaking that these types of people are allowed to practice and make people feel awful. This is not a medical professional, this is someone who wants to make money by getting off on making people feel horrible about themselves. Don't waste your time, money or energy here. If I could rate this 0 stars, I would.
