I booked a same day appointment with her. Cristina greeted me with a hug and I thought it was such a kind thing to do! Since I was a first time client, we went through a few photos and she asked me some lifestyle questions so she could decide what would be the best look. I went with the silk lashes. The owner is very flexible; if you are running late or need to reschedule, she does her best to accommodate. At first, I didn't particularly appreciate the long wait, even with an appointment, but you get used to it. It feels less now, and more often than not, I get in and out quickly. There is a learning curve if you have never gotten threading done before. There is a way for you to hold your eyebrows with your hand, but the owner will let you know how to do it. Also, a tongue placement is needed with your upper lip threading, which at first is odd to experience but makes sense afterward. I also purchase my eyebrow pencil from them and find their pricing reasonable. You can book with them online. I have only gone to the Pompano location. Eye Brow Threading and Tint My favorite services to get done. More often, I do just threading. Recently, I started threading my chin and upper lip hair and have found Rupa does an excellent job. Eye Lash I tried it once, and it was a very painful experience. My eyes burned the entire time. Afterward, I liked how it looked but could not bear the experience again. She can do the powder style and can also do the individual hair type of brow. Her liner can be thick and dramatic or incredibly thin and subtle, which is my preference. She is also really good at things you don't even know you need... For example, a lot of people don't know that getting black brows can mean that your color can fade to blue black. Also, you might want to discuss pigment with your makeup tattoo artist because you might want the kind of pigment that deliberately fades. As you age, you may have to consider moving your brow line higher as your face droops. Depressing, but true, and you might discuss using an ink that will fade so that eventually your brows can be moved higher without having to remove pigment that is located too low on your face. She does radio frequency treatments for myself and for my mom who has just turned 80 and has pretty damn good skin. She also does lots of other sorts of skin treatments and does not do trendy ridiculous things, she is a professional who really does know how different vitamins and chemicals will react to your skin and who can help your skin look its best. We lucked out as we only had a short wait -- even though they were exceptionally busy for a Wednesday afternoon. The shop was bright and clean. I picked out my polishes from the racks up front and found the perfect blue for my toes. I did the pedicure first. It was lovely to relax and be pampered. And the hot towels and leg massage were an added plus. Then I had a manicure as well. Henry (English name for Huigh?) was my technician for both procedures. He was gentle on my sensitive skin. And took time to do everything just right. I felt like a new person afterwards. We also got to meet the"new" owner, Amy, who was very welcoming and personable. She did my husband's pedicure. He was very happy with his experience, too. We both said we'd love to come back. And we hope to do so soon.
