All women in there, with lots of girly gab going on. Not exactly my cup of tea. So I visited Yelp looking for a recommendation. There are a whole bunch of barber shops, but not one review. I took a chance and picked Bubba's, and I think I hit the jackpot. It's in a residential area, not hard to find. It's a smallish building that sits on the corner. The only negative thing about this place is that there is not much parking right in front. I found a spot in front though, and went inside. The instant I walked in the door I was greeted by the barbers with a friendly welcome. Three of the four had customers, and the fourth invited me to take his chair. It was Saturday, around noon, and I had been preparing myself for a wait, but I got right in. There were several people in the waiting area (which was surprisingly large, and well maintained) and everyone seemed to know each other, as there was cheerful conversation going on. One young lady was there with her young son, whom I later found out was the owner's grandson. That little boy kept us entertained the whole time with his antics. My barber was a pleasant man who went right to work and did a very nice job cutting my hair. I was the only "outsider" in the place, but felt almost like a regular when I walked out. $15.00 for the cut, very well worth every penny. I highly recommend this traditional style barbershop. Clean and friendly atmosphere, and men cutting men's hair. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
