My insurance changed and I was looking for a new place to take my toddler. My sister in law told me about this place and I decided to give them a shot. I scheduled a new patient appointment and over the phone everything seemed fine. The day of the appointment I arrived on time, after filling out the paper work it took them maybe 10 mins to bring me back which wasn't bad. However I noticed that the place seemed very messy. Not clean and very disorganized. The medical assistant brought us back and pinched my daughter's finger for the iron check, got her weight and height, and then sat us in a room. 35 minutes later another assistant comes in to tell me the doctor was not even in the office! She tells me that he is on his way and that he had to release a newborn from the hospital and that he forgot to tell them. I had two main concerns at this point: 1) How did THE doctor forget to tell his staff knowing he has appointments?! 2) Why is the office they are they running so messy and unclean? This assistant offered me to keep waiting another 20-30 minutes, and I declined. I would never come back. Such a bad experience in this place. Please do your research and find another office with nicer and cleaner staff too. Other offices do a better job at giving updates as well! read more

Doctor who always talk about himself, suggested something that parents already know what to do about homework, tablet, and future careers of my child every time visiting . My daughter had been visiting to this office for many years since she was toddler, and every time the doctor say the same thing over and over about something that's not related to health wellness of my child. Recently I took my daughter to have travel vaccines before going for vacation, and my hometown has high risk of malaria disease causing from mosquitoes. Could you believe the doctor suggested me to buy OFF sprays instead of having vaccines! No wayyyyyy.... !!!!! I am going to transfer my daughter where else for a better care quality. When my second child was born, there was a problem with the insurance, and we were assigned Dr. Enz at Herculean Babies. Where to start? Dr. Enz repeatedly called my daughter my son. That was how our first appointment went. He kept referring to her as him, even after I corrected him, until he looked in her diaper. All he had to do was look at her chart. Horrible breastfeeding advice. He instructed me to limit time at the breast, but to also come back for a weight check. And to get her off of night feeds starting at 8 weeks. At 8 weeks, your supply is barely getting fully established, and night feeds are a vital part of nourishment for babies until they are much older. I actually opted to just not go to the pediatrician until our insurance was straightened out a month later. And for a mama with horrible postpartum anxiety to not have a pediatrician she trusts, that was a HUGE decision for me. Luckily, our regular pediatrician was happy to unofficially keep an eye on baby until we could be seen in the office. I'd give no stars if I could. read more

No one says hello to you or acknowledges your arrival. Their wait times are ridiculous. Since they didn't have my infant son's records yet from his previous pediatrician, I made another appt the following Monday to come back for his vaccine shots. When I arrived on Monday for appt #2, no one acknowledged me again and I waited for 30 minutes to be told that they didn't have his records and therefore couldn't do his shots yet. Keep in mind they ask you to sign an agreement that they would charge you $20 for a missed/non-cancelled appointment. Dr. Pleet (now retired), Dr. Enz and NP have been great with my kids. But unfortunately their staff (most, not all) are garbage in regards to customer service, patient interaction, and overall professionalism. They are unprofessional, rude, aggressive behavior, righteous, and worse of all act like this in front of our children! Especially the front office mgr, whom has gotten worse through time. It's really unfortunate to experience negative approach by her, and be blamed for it (by her and some staff). When she is who has a temper screaming at us parents, being righteous on her reasoning, and saying negative things towards us clients/ patients! Physicians can be good, BUT what good is it if customer service and their staff treats patients wrong? Customer service goes a long way! Physicians and their staff get paid because they have patients who pay through their insurances, out of pocket payments, etc! Good quality service with respect should be part of their practice. I don't know about those negative comments about the clinic and the staff, their great especially accommodating the needs of my grandchildren, most especially Dr Enz and JD his NP in the clinic. But I still miss Dr Pleet who retired several years now but still my grandkids medical needs are being met professionally and utmost care. read more

Due to a change in insurance, we had to find a new pediatrician. I picked Herculean Babies because it was in network and close to use. We will not be going back. My son's appointment was at 2:00. We got there early to fill out paperwork, but they were closed for lunch until 2:00. When they opened the door and we went in, no one greeted us or even acknowledged that we were there. There was a clipboard at the front counter where patients write their name and time they arrived...why is this necessary if we have an appointment? After finally filling out paperwork, they asked for my copay. I said there's no copay for a wellness visit. They said our appointment was a sick visit. After I kept explaining that my son had just turned 4 and the entire reason we were there was for a physical, which is what I said on the phone, they started speaking in Spanish (no idea what they were saying) and finally said they had a cancellation. They made sure to point out that the ONLY reason they could see us was because of the cancellation because our appointment was a sick visit. I refrained from telling them it wasn't MY fault that they wrote down the wrong kind of appointment. Why would I make a sick appointment a month in advance?? The nurse that took my son's weight and height was very nice and helped him feel a little more at ease. Once she was done checking his eye sight and hearing she directed us to the exam room, where we waited for at least 20 minutes. She didn't go in with us or explain that the doctor would be right there, she just left. When the doctor finally arrived, he didn't introduce himself to me or my son. He just went straight in to his height and weight, and said, "He's not too fat or too skinny." Why does he use the word "fat" to describe kids?? Then he spent the rest of the time talking to me like I was an idiot. He was very condescending and clearly felt like because he was a doctor and I was just a stay-at-home-mom that he was much more intelligent than me. He explained things like what our tastebuds are for, what gray matter in the brain is, how I need to teach my son how to correctly cross the street, and how I need to have him trace words like "bear" three times each, 20 minutes a day. What??! I'm a teacher and that is not what preschool kids should be doing. The nurse that gave my son his three shots squeezed his arms so hard he still had red marks several minutes later. And when she came back with stickers she handed them to him and just left. No one said anything to us as we left either. Overall, the staff (besides the first nurse we had) was rude and unwelcoming, and the doctor was condescending and made me uncomfortable. I have an appointment for my 2-year-old there which I will be cancelling today. read more

My 19 month old daughter has been a patient here since October 2012 and since then it has been a HORRIBLE experience. She has seen both doctors there: Dr. Enz and Dr. Pleet. Dr. Enz is her primary care provider and Dr. Pleet has seen her a couple of times on short notice appointments. The first time I saw Dr. Enz he had been in the next exam room with another patient and he DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS when he entered the room to see my child. He just put gloves on!!! The three times she has seen him he did not wash his hands or thoroughly examine her. He looked at her and listened to her lungs and that was it!! The second time we saw him our appointment was at 2pm and he did not see us until 4:45pm! And once again he did not thoroughly examine my daughter like her previous pediatrician had. And he didn't wash his hands! Today our appointment for her check up was ta 3pm. At 4:30 I walked out with my daughter. I was not going to wait two and half hours again. The other thing that really bothered me is that the office had me fill out a release for medical information to get my daughter's medical record from her previous pediatrician but they NEVER requested the records. So every time we saw them they tried to give her vaccines that she had already had because they had not bothered to learn anything about her! Dr. Pleet is perfectly ok but some of the office staff are very rude and unprofessional when you talk to them in person and on the phone! Not all of them are like this. We have tried and tried to be patient with this practice. We have been with this office for three years now and only switched because we moved here. Have kids ages 5, 2, and expecting. No one has treated us rudely. Staff ladies are sweet spoken, doctors try to listen & recommend treatments. Good things: local and good for scheduled annual physicals only. Now, why we are looking for new DRs: I just can't stand the long waits anymore, DR drones on and on when actually seen (one time we waited an extra 40 mins while he just talked to another family about how school and their day was like until I complained 3x he finally made his way to us. Office is small and all doors are open so you can hear everyone talking. Sure you may think it's nice he's spending all this time chatting away with you but not when your child is ill and you have an appointment and there's three other families waiting to be seen) and most importantly, whenever my children actually needs to see them which is more often than not (ear infections, flu, fevers, other infections) I've always been referred to Urgent Care or ER which is another 40mins drive. Like we need a dr now. We never felt like they truly cared about the children's health. My child could be coughing up blood with 104 fever (which has happened) & I'm standing there in office and they'll just turn you away. They won't try to squeeze you in or Dr has other plans (going home early, not working in hospital). I know Drs have their own lives too but isn't that why they are drs, to care for patients especially young children? You would think they would care about your child in emergency in person. Staff is always quick to leave on the dot and rushing you out when everyone there has made you waited an average of 30mins for your own prescheduled appointment . They only take appointments. We have been seen once when I called in for a same day appointment so I felt so lucky. 10 other times it was a no. I'm still waiting for a call for specialist from children's hospital. They've told me they have sent the referral and although I've told them again and again they wont give me the number directly and haven't followed up or really through with it. The toys and books there are old, broken. Rooms are old, not sure if they even clean the waiting area or toys inside room. For some strange reason there are tons of pictures of the dr playing soccer. Looking for a new Dr, sorry. Can't put my family through this anymore. I'm up at 4am with my sick kid because Dr couldn't (more like wouldn't) see him yesterday and we're heading to children's ER next. read more

I love this place! Very Professional, great doctors! Great front desk, and friendly Medical assistants who are very patient with your children! I would recommend this office. Dr Pleet will be retiring, and will be missed, but Dr Enz is just as awesome!!!! read more
