Truck was givin to me and now I have to do a new clutch because of how bad it's slipping. The technicians are slacking and acting like they don't care anymore. About a year and a half ago they did a oil pressure sensor on my fiancés Tahoe and the technician who worked on it forgot his impact in the engine bay and had to go to my fiancés work the next day to grab it. They also offer rides; they drove me back to my hotel and they then picked me up when my car was done. This is a road trip hero story. I live in SW WA and decided to take my daughter on a road trip the…read moreday after school ended. Our planned stops included Boise, Salt Lake City, and Grand Junction. My parents flew into SLC to join us for the Grand Junction leg where we planned to visit family. Nearly halfway between Salt Lake and Grand Junction on a Tuesday my A/C died. It was 100 degrees going through the mid-afternoon desert early June. I called an auto shop in Green River who said his shop was too busy. Then I called ahead to Grand Junction and two shops said they were too busy as well to even take a look. Then I reached the service desk manager, Don, at PDF. Don told us to drive straight on in and they'd take a look. Well, unfortunately it wasn't a simple fix, but rather a problem with the compressor. Further, without an Acura dealership nearby no parts were available without getting them delivered via Fed-Ex. After placing several calls, they found a way to get the parts as quickly as possible and also took apart the engine the evening prior to the delivery so they could complete the repair first thing in the morning. They phoned Thursday morning about 9 am just before we were checking out of our hotel to say the car was ready! This meant we didn't have to ask family to store all our luggage in their cars till my car was ready. The timing was perfect. We stayed in the area through lunch to make sure the car ran well and then we continued on our trip, working our way back home. I was able to get my parents back to SLC in time to catch their flight home and my daughter and I completed our own road trip before I needed to fly to a work conference. Also, a family member who happened to have industry experience checked around and the charges I paid for parts and labor were very fair. I am so grateful for courteous, professional service that served us promptly and fairly knowing we didn't have the makings of a repeat customer as out-of-towners. However, our Grand Junction family will now recommend PDF, and I personally will remain very grateful.
