History

Established in 2005.

Heritage Funeral Home was established in 2005 as the first funeral home serving Andover and the surrounding communities. Our funeral home was founded on the promise to guide each family through the grieving process to the best of our professional abilities. A local business investor and his wife, living in the Andover area since 1979, came together with Shawn Snyder, a local funeral director, to fill a need for a service that would care for the special interests of the people of our communities. Families experience listening, compassion, problem solving and education. In 2011 Heritage Heritage Funeral Home opened an office location in El Dorado with the intention of providing funeral service options to the El Dorado Community. We grew in early 2014 to include a chapel large enough to suit most families needs while maintaining our business model of providing excellent service at reasonable pricing. We are the ONLY locally owned funeral home in the El Dorado community.

Meet the Manager: Shawn S.

Shawn is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the State of Kansas since 2003. He graduated from Kansas City Kansas Community College in 2001 with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Upon graduating, Shawn began his career working with Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman, KS until 2003. He has since been serving Wichita and the surrounding communities for nearly eight years and is proud to be calling the Andover area home since 2005, with his wife Ashley, married April 24, 2010, and two daughters Audra and Breanna. Shawn was raised in a western Kansas community with a small town upbringing. His parents now reside in LaCrosse,KS and operate funeral homes in LaCrosse and Great Bend, KS.
