Positives: signature salad, bacon, bisques, baked goods. Roomy with decent decor, TVs often too loud. Rehab staff very good, helpful and encouraging. All staff need to wear name tags with LARGE PRINT NAME AND POSITION, facing out please. Residents are not showered with adequate frequency.

Mine spent time in the personal care unit prior to transitioning to an independent cottage. The director, Dave Manton and his staff made all of the transitions seamless and easy. It is such an emotional process when parents give up their home to move into more long-term retirement care. The help we have received cannot be calculated in mere dollars, as it has been invaluable. We too compared other care facilities and none measured up to CC standards and quality of community. It is truly a gem of a place located in the lovely town of Carlisle, PA.

Throughout her time at TVOR, the administrative staff helped us navigate complicated waters such as Medicare, hospital transfers, hospice and more. My mother in law is in here as I type this. She's in good shape, she's here strictly for rehab…read morebecause she's been off her feet for 2 weeks due to illness, and was only here to help her get back on her feet, but they stuck her in the nursing home side anyway saying there are no beds in the rehab center (walked through it yesterday and this is not true, but... well, these people want to do as little as possible and guilt you about the little they bother with). The food is abysmal. It's overcooked, she gets hot milk, cold coffee, they've been promising she will get to meet a nutritionist but hasn't yet and she's diabetic with other dietary restrictions, but they give her high sugar meals, will take 3 hours to bring her a cup of ice, and don't get me started on care. They. Do. Nothing. They won't help her adjust anything, won't help her to.the bathroom, won't even help her get comfy in bed. They've adjusted her meds without consulting her doctor. Last night this poor woman texts us to let us know she put pushed the button asking for the nurse, and it took over 90 minutes, and the friggin' snack lady came in instead, she had to ask for a nurse to help which never came. If she'd fallen or had an actual medical emergency, she wouldn't be with us anymore. Do not come here, especially if you need actual care. You. Will. Not. Come. Out. other than in a box. I can only pray her insurance will actually reject the place suddenly so she can get transported elsewhere and it covered by insurance, because I wouldn't wish this place on my worse enemy.

Food was terrible, some staff was rude and that 5 day wait for a private room lasted 5 1/2 weeks and still no private room, very little rehab that applied to me, long wait for call light to be answered. I dismissed myself they would not release me. Then I heard the same administrator telling a new patient the same 5 day story. There are better retirement and rehab in the area.

He immediately came outside and yelled at me telling me to move my car back a few feet cause I was in his valet section of the circle. I didn't mind moving, but his aggression and attitude really turned me off. He yelled that I needed to follow the rules like everyone else..???? Very odd aggressive behavior for a small issue. I would never recommend this place based solely on the purpose at the front of the lobby, at the door. Such a shame.
