If you choose HP Manor, and if the lockdown is ever lifted, you'll have ample opportunity for social interaction with other residents as there are a wide variety of activities occurring every day (in normal times), organized by the co-op President, Vice President, Secretary, et al, who are elected by the residents from among the residents. There is an inhouse nurse and an inhouse social worker, both of whom are OUTSTANDING. So, why only 3 stars? The problem is with the liaison person who deals with the residents on behalf of the management company. If you don't mind having legitimate complaints often swept under the rug instead of dealt with in a timely manner, having reasonable questions go unanswered, being treated disrespectfully, and/or being lied to, you might be happy living at Hazel Park Manor. If CSI had a liaison person who possessed the same degree of dedication to serve the residents as do our inhouse social worker and our inhouse wellness nurse, I'd have given Hazel Park Manor 5 stars instead of only 3. But when you have a problem, you want to deal with a problem-solver; not just someone who is there to collect a paycheck...and that appears to be what we have now.

I was told to come by today. After waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes I was told I wouldn't get any portion of the security deposit because the house needed "a fresh coat of paint". $900 on paint in a 600 sq ft. house. They also failed to provide an itemized list of deductions on the security deposit. I tried calling them during their "normal business hours" but I reached an answering service, not the actual office. From my dealings with them, this company doesn't have it together. Run while you can! Do not use them for anything.

It's a long process to finally get done so the amount of experience I've had going through this plus having my father be a real estate agent my whole life, I highly DO NOT RECCOMEND SCOTT SIMS. My husband Ryan West and I went through Scott as our agent for the church he was selling. He had us go through all the work of getting proof of funds, signing papers, and everything. We were the HIGHEST CASH offer, at $100k. The church was listed at 109k and Even told him we would offer $140k, which was 30k above asking price!!! After making us do all the paperwork and promising us it was ours and just had to wait on the sellers agreement, Scott completely ghosted us for a week, blamed it on being on vacation and having no service, then said the seller went from under him and accepted an offer 20k UNDER ASKING PRICE! what????? So after having another real estate friend do some research, he ended up just selling it to a friend of his which caused the company to lose out on what could have been $50,000 more. Not to mention once I messaged him kindly expressing how horrible this process with him has been, he blocked us on everything. I'm so upset by how screwed over I was in this situation by Scott. I'll make sure to let everyone know not to use him or this company.
