I know it is 700 pounds because my deceased dad and 80 year old grandpa moved it from Illinois to Ohio and my husband also helped move it once we got it to Ohio and he also helped move my dad's same safe from my moms bedroom to her basement. When I wanted them to move it from my moms to my basement they couldnt get it up the steps and said it was "more than 700 pounds its more like 1500" all they had to move it was a ratchet strap when Best Buy home depot etc have actual thing thsts not a ratchet strap to move it. And now its sitting in my garage because they vouldnt get it down to my basement. I had to call my husband at work because they couldn't do the job. I should've only paid them half the payment that I was quoted instead of the whole thing since they only did half the job.

Initially these guys were great. They worked with me when I kept changing my moving date and when…read morethe date was finally a firm date they were punctual. I was told there would be a 7% fee if using a credit card. I thought we'd need a huge truck so they brought a 25' and a 16' truck. The guys packed it so well that they only needed the 25' truck. One of the bosses was told that the antique Singer sewing machine was very delicate. Unfortunately it was damaged in the move anyways. The bosses brought 3 other guys and they were all great at the move-from-house. We wanted a head start to the move-to-house so they decided to have lunch before heading out. We gave them part of the tip early for lunch; $100. When they arrived at the move-to-house it was only the 3 guys, the bosses said they had other business to attend to which was cool. Unpacking went fairly smoothly. Not all boxes ended up in the rooms that were marked on the boxes though. One of the movers used the bathroom and either didn't flush or should have flushed twice. It was disgusting to lift up the lid and find crap in the toilet. At the end the crew chief and I went to settle up and instead of being $1850 as stated, he said it was $1,942. I asked if the extra was taxes and he said "yeah." It was a long day, I was tired so I didn't question it. They did not provide a receipt either. I also tipped an additional $20/worker so the total I wrote the check for was $2,002. Later I did the math and figured he charged me an additional 5% which was $92.50, then he rounded down. I hate to assume, and it seems a bit shady, but it seems he charged the additional 5% for them as a tip. We had researched what a tip should be and 5% to 10% seemed about right and we came in at the high end at $160. I knew it wasn't a fee for using a credit card because that would of been 7% (and we paid by check) so I attempted to contact them about this issue. I didn't hear back until I texted and said I wanted to resolve this issue before writing a review. I wanted to give them a chance to resolve the issue first. He finally responded and felt I was threatening them, which was not my intention. He said he'd look into it. Almost 3 weeks later I sent another text. It's been almost a week and still not a peep. It was shady of that guy to charge me 5% and I want my $92 back! If you use these guys, ask for a receipt at the end of the day and make sure it is for the correct amount. By the way, he did send us a paid invoice when a receipt was requested, but it was only for the $1,850 and not what we were actually charged which was $1,942.

I had one standing freezer my daughters fridge and mine which the said they could move I told them they'd probably need to take the doors off to get it out of the house. I had 8 shelving units, white and light weight. I had 6 units that each had 4 squares in them with clothes. Also not very heavy, I also had some boxes about 10 and a washer and drier and two small pieces of furniture. I got a text from Patrick saying his truck had broken down so they were going to have to get a U-Haul and not a very big one! When they got to my house they took one look at my refrigerator and said oh, that's a new one! We're not allowed to move those! I mean, he says, we could try but we didn't bring the tools to remove the doors! I told them before they ever got there about the doors. We had to make two trips from Chillicothe Ohio, to Circleville Ohio, about a 30 minute drive. Because the truck was small we had to make two trips. I wasn't taking any of the other furniture in my house because it's too large for my new house. In the end it cost me with the 450 dollar advance a thousand dollars for about 5 hours of work. So they were nice and friendly, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It was too expensive for the small amount of stuff that they moved and because they wouldn't move my fridge I ended up having to buy a new one. I couldn't find anyone on such short notice to move it. And, wanting to keep all the 450 I'd already paid them, his truck breaking down ( he said he had two) and renting a small U-Haul. No stay clear!

There were no cat feces in the bedroom nor in the basement where we needed the boxes and bins to go to. The homeowner is upset that one room is essentially a fire hazard and the egress from that room is blocked. I paid $1460 to have my belongings placed in certain areas of the house, and that did not happen. June 2, 2024 After several phone calls to EE Ward in Grove City, my nephews and I agreed to a crew returning to the house to place the boxes in their respective places (bedroom, basement). My nephews and I cleaned the cat litter issues. While on the phone, my nephew explained that I am elderly and disabled, and he is recovering from lung cancer. A crew of three movedthe boxes on Friday, May 31. Marcy, Shayna, and Janine were quite helpful in resolving this complaint.

We moved from Raleigh, North Carolina to Columbus, OH and the movers were great! I've moved long…read moredistance five times before and the guys have never been this good. The only thing I would say that was a negative was I had to call three weeks in advance to schedule. But that was fine since we had 30 days to close on our home. It's summer, I get it. But the movers who showed up were incredible. Our driver Jake made sure all our floors were covered with mats or cardboard so we didn't get scratches. This was great because our floors in Columbus were brand new! We tipped each guy $100 since they were so good. They wore masks which my wife appreciated as well. My home is a 4 bedroom house with a basement but not everything needed to be moved out. It took them way longer than expected to complete the move (12 hours one day and had to come back the next day to finish for 8 hours or so!). The total bill charged ended up being way more (obviously) than I anticipated.... Way too expensive than the competitors. To make matters worse, during our move (8/11/2019), the movers scratched my hardwood floor but were prompt in recognizing the issue and submitting it right away to their "Claims" department (I doubt there is such a department as I have yet to receive a call from them or anyone from this company in the matter). I have been calling them constantly to follow up on the claim as I am in the process of finalizing a sale on my house and have still not gotten a resolution. I keep getting the run arounds every time I call them and never get any followup call backs as they always promise. It's 8/30/19 today and still no resolution and I am closing on my house in less than a week. My latest call conversation was on Wednesday, 8/28/19 and the representative promised he would give me a status update on the same day and still nothing 2 days later. Mind you, when they were partially down with the work on the first day, they requested payment to be made right before they could leave my house but it's taking them weeks to even attempt to process my claim. You have a concierge to answer questions when you purchase & a dispatcher to tell you where the movers are via text and/or phone call. A $400 down payment is required. Our rate was $160/hour all inclusive, no minimum # of hours required. We had about 25 items moved, all big stuff like mattresses, washer, dryer, couch, dressers... it took them 3 hours, including 25 minute travel time. All payment can be made online via PayPal. Tommy, Mark and Matt, our movers, were phenomenal. They offered to move any item we wanted & were great conversationalist. While they deserved several breaks, they didn't stop until they were done. The service, friendliness and communication from booking the appointment to the last item moved exceeded my expectations. In general, hiring movers is worth every penny. I can not recommend Local Anything enough! The only complaint I had was they arrived an hour and a half later than the 2 hour buffer/service time. Though they quickly made up for that small annoyance.
