I ordered some expensive headphones and I was inside my house, hearing the engine. I went to the window to see if it's the drivers and I saw him taking photos of my building from his van. He didn't even bother to go out to ring my intercom. I received the email from them saying that he tried to deliver the parcel and I wasn't in. He left straight away. The biggest problem is that you cannot complain anywhere and you cannot actually speak with someone from Hermes to fill up a form or something. Worst company ever! read more

I have never dealt with a company that is so incompetent, no one seems to know what the drivers are doing and visa versa. I have had parcels waiting days to be picked up and this is TWICE this has happened, I made a written complaint with no apology. the first time I spent a week everyday chasing up a pickup I am disabled and unable to take them to a drop off. the last day I rang they phoned the driver who knew nothing about picking anything up until they rang. so I was lied to with them telling me someone was coming. the second time is what I am going through now. Parcels waiting and no pick up, lied to about someone coming for them. I rang up to find out there's know record of me phoning. Absolute shit service, no other way to put it. They were supposed to collect passel on Monday, on Tuesday after exactly 0 communication, I check myself and realise that it has not been collected. I notify them that collection after 6pm is impossible as they are collecting from a private company that shuts down at 6. They tell me to wait. Later on Tuesday they tell me that it will be collected on Wednesday, and tell me to wait. I asked if they could contact the curier and ask what the problem is - 0 response. It was not collected on Wednesday, and they tell me to wait till they sort out what's wrong. On Thursday evening they tell me that they are sorry, but I'll have to rebook if I still want collection and that their couriers are contractors who make their own schedule and that there have been 3 attempts to collect. They wouldn't provide times when collection was attempted, they told me to wait to no end, they proposed no resolutions, they did not attempt to negotiate with the curier, they did not recommend another company if a 10h window is not big enough for their employees, I don't even know if I have been refunded. I made an order on the 11th of March 2022 which was to be delivered on the 15th I waited in all day but it never arrived then it was to be delivered on the 16th again never turned up. I contacted Hermes chat line what a waste of time kept telling me there was no such tracking number try again I tried 5 Tim's but just kept telling me same thing so I gave up. Then on the 22nd stating they have my parcel but it quite large and had to be delivered by specialist Evri courier and would be delivered on the 23rd never come then on the 25th they had my parcel. On the the 26th they stated it's out for delivery between 6pm & 8pm never came again then I received a message stating I wasn't in and there wasnt a safe place to put it and they will try again on Monday. I know they never came as I have a alarm bell in my house that is set off when anyone comes to my front door and it never went plus there are plenty of safe places to hide it. my normal delivery person must be on holiday and the other that bother to deliver are rubbish. last week they did not deliver the complete order there was 5 dsys apart. it was coming two different times on a saturday then it was not coming. when it did come it was with a neighbour. which neighbour they did not say. they have had a parcil since last sunday by wednesday it was still delayed and its still sitting in there warehouse today. its disgusting service when the normal gentleman is away. read more

Ordered some goods from Debenhams and paid for next day delivery (Hermes?) Delivery was confirmed to come on the 13th December. I received an email to say the goods had been misrouted and would not be delivered on the 13th but would now be delivered on the 14th. Nothing arrived. Two days of arranging someone to be in to accept the delivery wasted. Have just had conversation with the Live Assistance. What an experience! I have been told to be patient and wait until the tracking is updated as this takes 24 hours. I pointed out that it was now 48 hours over the delivery hence seeking advise as to when I can expect the goods, to be told I need to allow a little longer! How long I asked could not be answered, so the gift I have bought is now two days late for its owner, with now answer on when it will actually be delivered. Surely this is not acceptable for a courier service to operate like this?? With the reviews that appear on this site, isn't it time for retailers to think twice about who they use as at the end of the day Hermes are giving them a bad reputation! read more

Hermes let me down on numerous occasions and when you want to complain you just can't get through to customer services all you get is automatic robot and the choices are not good.im stillhaving problems with Hermes they just dont seem to care.i am probably going to lose m return refund because my parcel has not been collected which I've paid for.You definitely dont get 1st service infection you dont get a service as you can't get in touch well you can if you willing to pay £6 flat rate then the cost of call from mobile what a joke this courier service is.To date I'm still having problems that need sorted. read more

Useless! Paid for collection of a parcel to deliver to family on 11th December. Never collected. Today, 16 days later, after not being able to get through to anyone on phone I get an email response, to apologise for not collecting said parcel. Also that I can take it to a pick up point. where do I start ??? ordered an item off a bootsale app called vinted sender used My Hermes (unfortunately) delivery was attempted on a Saturday to my workplace which was closed, delivery was not reattempted as stipulated on the website and was returned to sender ?? how ?? sender did not include address for confidentiality reasons so I can only assume that the scruffs have nicked off with my parcel. Then to replace item these jokers originally lost I ordered through Boohoo and paid for next day delivery....nothing. checked online and parcel has been rerouted and will take up to 5 days to be delivered !!! Don't even bother trying to ring and actually speak to a human person ! everything is done via web chat and nothing gets resolved they just feed you with empty promises. Not happy with these at all. I ordered a coffee maker from a respected seller on ebay and was told to expect it in four working days. Being somewhat cynical, I waited until ten day later to check on the tracking supplied. I was informed that I had received and signed for it a week before, despite the fact that I work nights and my wife is retired so there is always someone available. The company are adamant that it was signed for but, so far, have not given me any proof of that, nor of what the signature is. The sender believes them, as do ebay. Having worked for a delivery/courier firm which had a 98% delivery rate, I know that there can be problems. I also know that any driver can read the name on the address label and sign that name himself if it is something he wants or can sell - this is true all along the line, not just drivers. I am writing off the money paid to experience, but will carefully check in future (if I use ebay again!) who is responsible for the delivery. read more

WORST COURIER SERVICE EVER! I sold an item on Gumtree and the person who bought the item arranged the parcel to be collected by Hermes. They were told not to come on Saturday, but they did and no one was home. They put a card through the door with no contact details, but advised they would collect the parcel on Monday. I waited in the whole day but the courier did not come. I contacted them on Tuesday via live chat and was advised the courier would definitely be there, so I made sure someone was home all day, and once again the courier did not come. Back onto live chat and was told the courier had been but the woman told him the parcel wasn't ready, when the courier said he came there was no woman home it would have been my 18 year old son who answered the door. So I thought I should start emailing instead just so I had a record of what was happening, just as well as it turned out because I discovered an item I had been waiting for and had not received was meant to have been delivered by guess who? You've got it, Hermes! Needless to say I still have the parcel, the courier never did find the right house and instead of investigating the issue as they promised they simply let the label on the parcel expire and now will do nothing until we raise a new label. I am so angry I can't even tell you a parcel that was meant to be collected on the 1st April 2016, is still sitting in my lounge and it is the 16th April 2016. The other parcel was seemingly delivered and signed for, but the signature was just a squiggle so either it was delivered to the wrong address or stolen by the courier. If anyone wants to see it I have a record of all the many emails between myself and Hermes, but if you are looking for a courier service do yourself a favour and try someone else. read more

Hermes is simply the worst parcel delivery service in the world. Hermes is totally useless and not fit for purpose. The ONLY phone number they have is automated which is totally unhelpful as none of the questions are tailored to one's needs. Hermes delivery persons are grossly incompetent and useless. They lie about having delivered a parcel: they don't ring the door bell, they leave no calling cards, they ask for additional payment to redeliver a parcel which they had not delivered initially; you call a delivery person on their mobile phone number but no response. Why send a text message regarding a parcel to a customer's mobile phone, and when the customer calls you back several times, you do not respond?? Hermes service is grossly useless. That's no way to run a business. I paid a lot for a next day delivery, and it's been over a week, still expecting my parcels. Personally, I would not use Hermes to post anything; unfortunately, the retailers I buy from use Hermes. 0/10 for Hermes. read more

Absolutely furious with My Hermes !! I paid next day delivery to my place of work. The delivery was a last minute birthday gift which needless to say was not delivered in time for the birthday. On checking the tracking it stated that a delivery attempt had been made - NOT TRUE. I spoke to someone via their live chat and established the driver had a query with the address so simply decided not to deliver !!! How about contacting me if you couldn't find the address (I provided my telephone number at the time of ordering) The address does exist although can be awkward to find - a simple phone call would have allowed me to give very simple directions on the industrial estate. never, ever trust hermes, they lose everything they get their hands on from the tiniest of parcels to the largest, they lost mine and it was 6 foot tall. how they can lose a parcel once checked in at the hub is beyond me, or so they say. makes me wonder if there are some fraudsters operating within the depot, wouldn't trust them an inch. read more

I AM APPAULED, As we all know new years eve is a crucial event in any social calender I paid £6 for next day delivery and my parcel never showed. They then had the audacity to say that they attempted to post it at 11pm which I know for a fact they did not. I am heading back to my permanent address today without my parcel! Their has been 0communication after it left the warehouse which makes me wonder, where is the parcel? Never am I ever going to order something online where hermes is involved.
