The inn keeper, the food and the rooms are all excellent. Lori (innkeeper) even call us to let us know we left some items there and she mailed to our home. we have been to many b and b's and this ranks up with the best

I cannot sing enough praises about Scott, Tari, and their beautiful home. I came to Oxford for a…read moreconference in November at Miami U. I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.

As a guest, how am I to be comfortable in their establishment. I made a reservation there before the Delta variant was rampant in their area. I am a cancer patient and immunosuppressed. My doctor recommended I do not go. Jim and Jennifer refused to refund my deposit. Our crafting group has been meeting there biannually for 16 years and we have NEVER cancelled booking. Despite that, Jim and Jennifer have a strict cancellation policy. Gone are the days when one or two members of our group could reserve a booking at $20 apiece. Now it's $60 and everybody in the group has to pay in advance. Our group used to feel special when Jim and Leacarol ran the inn. Now it's just business. Frosty business. The rates have skyrocketed and guests are no longer welcome to stay later in the afternoon on Sunday. Also, the breakfasts are uninspired. If you can find another place to stay, do so. Apparently they are booked into 2022 anyway and don't appreciate their loyal patrons.

It's proximity to several airports made it easy for people to travel in from all over the country. The quiet country setting was the perfect backdrop for a weekend of mindfulness, meditation, and conversations. We loved being able to use the pool, the carriage house for breakout events, and even walk along the river front on the path across from the B&B. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend!

We stayed at this lovely B & B one night during Memorial Day weekend (the Sunday to Monday). We had…read morereceived information prior to our arrival that check-in time was an hour later than normal because they had had a wedding party the nights before and needed a bit of extra time to clean and get organized for our arrival. That was totally fine with us. We arrived a bit after 3PM. Once we had located the owner Colleen we were being shown to our room. This night they were not fully booked and so she first showed us the room we had booked, but then showed us another room, which had the balcony overlooking Ohio River (which was the same price as the one we had booked) and said we could have this one if we preferred. Both rooms where looking really nice, but the balcony was a nice bonus. So we stayed in the Riverview Mansion Room. After we had decided on the room, she showed us around the rest of the house. And the mansion is really nice and well taken care off. It was clean and inviting. The areas where we could sit and relax was just really nice. We enjoyed a bit of time on the balcony, enjoying the afternoon and the gorgeous weather both pre- and post dinner. The bed was comfy, the room not too cold nor too warm. There was nothing really we missed in the room. Breakfast the morning after was also really nice. They had a few different spots to sit for breakfast, and since we were the first ones down for breakfast, we went for the table overlooking the river. We were then being asked about what we wanted for breakfast given a number of different choices. Breakfast was well cooked and tasted good! We were more than happy with our breakfast when we left to go pack our bags. If I would give a few few tips of improvements it would be to have free access to bottled (or filtered) water (perhaps there was, but it was not something we where informed about). There was two small, small bottles in our room, but they where emptied within 5 min of our arrival. Also, informing about what time breakfast is being served from (or having a card or something in the room, informing about that would be helpful). Also, a number of B & B we´ve stayed at have had information about local restaurants, things to see in the area etc in the room, or somewhere easily found, that we didn´t see either. But these are all minor details, but that would have made our stay even better. And, lastly, but that´s because I love it - a possibility to have breakfast outside, enjoying the lovely morning sun would have been fantastic!! Would clearly recommend this B & B!

Jen the proprietor was delightful and joined us for breakfast on our first morning, prepared by her. It was quite a spread. Just let her know what you want the night before and you get it and a whole lot more. We caught a glimpse of Jen's husband but it seems like Jen is the "out front" person. We are going to ride horses later today. We are not familiar with horses and have each only been on a horse once in our lives but we like trying new stuff. Jen has assured us there will be no galloping or cantering and will provide a lesson before we saddle up. It is Early April 12pm around 45 degrees. We moved our ride to 12pm so it would be a bit warmer. My wife rode Domino I rode Hank. We had a lot of fun. We actually trotted for a bit. Jen was great. Our room is cozy but large on the second floor with a constellation on the ceiling. A private bath with double sink. Very nice. If you like cats like we do you will love the place. There are 7 4 inside and 3 outside we met them all. Very friendly. There is one dog also a friendly fellow. The house was immaculate. We took a hot tub on our last evening here and it was very nice. Tomorrow our final breakfast then back on the road A very enjoyable stay. Nancy & Mark.

Jen and her family are some of the most laid back, welcoming people I have met. The breakfasts were world class and delicious, made by Jen. I purchased her cookbook to ensure I had the opportunity to enjoy the dishes again! I highly recommend staying at First Farm Inn. I know I will definitely go back.
