The last item I got altered here was a pair of pants and they came back too short. This was gutting because they then had to let the hem out to make them a bit longer and they just didn't look right after, not too mention it meant I was without the pants for longer than initially expected. I'm sure the bad experiences I had here aren't regular occurrences as I have had some excellent alterations here, but the bad ones I did have were enough to cause me to look for somewhere else and to be honest I am glad I did as I love my new place.

I contacted Smart Locker and they sorted it out. When I picked up the order, I discovered that they had ignored my instructions about pressing, and an item had to be returned so it could be re-done. On top of this, they failed to remove a small stain on the same piece of clothing, but did manage to remove a lot of the colour around it, so now the problem is twice the size! A sweater was returned clean (and in its original colour) but with a noticeable pull/hole that was not there before I dropped it off. Honestly, anyone who cares about their clothes should stay away. It costs $4 for a regular load of washing, and $1.50 per 10mins in the dryer - useful knowledge for winter. The man who runs the Laundromat couldn't be nicer, and was very happy for me to leave the machine running and come back in half an hour when it was done. So, I popped across the road, got a great coffee and croissant from Pyrenees, and sat reading my book in rocket park for half an hour! So much nicer than being cooped up in a Laundromat watching a machine spin. There's parking on road right by the entrance, which is ideal when lugging laundry to and fro. Seriously, we are now reevaluating whether we should even be in a hurry to buy a new washing machine now....

What more could you ask for? The owner/operator is a friendly older gentleman who is happy to help out and always give you a realistic time of when your items will be ready. The Rocket Park Laundromat is also incredibly reasonably priced. In the winter we take our laundry down already washed, and to get two loads dried and folded it only costs about $10! Well worth it! Tip: The Rocket Park Laundromat is open til around 6pm each night, so don't worry if you drop it off on your way to work, it will still be open for you to pick your garments up in the evening!
