My wife and I Set up a 1 hour appointment to update and make changes to my revocable Trust. Sara…read moreMicheletti was the attorney we met with. After about 30 minutes, Sara became preoccupied with the time and kept looking at her watch. She indicated we were running over our time and she had another client waiting for her. In our discussions, we had a point of disagreement about the Secure Act 10-year rule. Sara insisted we would be required, by law, to distribute our IRA's in equal amounts for each of the 10 years. It turns out that was not correct. In the end we decided not to use Sara (McCarty Law) based on the wrong advice she provided plus the attitude she developed when we questioned the advice. I sent an email letting her know we would not move forward with McCary Law and to return the documents we left at the office. I agreed to pay an invoice for 30 minutes of the meeting which lasted less than 45 minutes. This was based on her obvious distractions after the first 30 minutes. Based on the hourly rate quoted of $350/hr, we expected an invoice of no more than $175. We received an invoice for $302. I attempted to contact Sara but she would not respond. Rick S.

Beware of these folks. My father hired them to do his will. Paid them. After he passed they called…read moreme and asked me to come in. I didn't help him with the will so I really didn't know what was going on. The paralegal we worked with told me and my sisters that we all had to be there and sign paperwork. We all take off work and come in and she asks if he has assets over $40-50K. We tell her no, she says "oh well you don't need to sign anything". So we all wasted a days pay. Then she tells me I need to take all his auto paperwork to DMV and to get that take care are of. I take another day off work to do that. Spend an hour at DMV only to be told that it's completely unnecessary unless I'm selling vehicles to a dealer. The icing on the cake is they send me a bill for $385 after. They never discussed fees or a bill. We had discussed that my father had paid for everything ahead of time. They wasted four days worth of pay, we're utterly unhelpful and rude on the phone, and then sent me a bill. I will live out my days in Appleton telling people to avoid them at all costs. Taking advantage of people going through a loss of a loved one has got to be the lowest of the low.
