Avoid like a plague !!! We had a reservation several weeks prior to arrival. Arrived on time 12pm and lady didn't care to help much at all. "We don't have any cars and I can't help you" you can return and check later at 2:30pm "we are closed now for lunch" so we sit on steps for hours and at 3pm lady says sorry no car go to next city two hours away and they should have a car there ... seriously !??? Hertz you suck balls this will be a formal complaint and will go on to all friends and family. Stay away from this hellhole if you value your time and sanity. read more

Arrived at 8:30am, was told it would be a few minutes. Here I am at 10:30am with a lobby full of people waiting for cars. ZERO sense of urgency. Would not suggest coming here. A total waste of time! read more

WARNING! Hertz will never get my business again! Two hours waiting for rental, long line, two counter agents, cars all over the street we had to hunt down, no restroom for waiting customers, this was just the beginning! No spare tire! We got a flat. Called for help. Tow truck came and took our car. Left four of us stranded in a foreign city in a foreign country! And...charged us $400 to tow and repair their flat tire! I'll tell everyone I know...don't rent from HERTZ!! read more

I actually had a very pleasant experience renting a car at this location. They were timely even though I was late. Angela and Francesca were very nice and Angela went out of her way to make sure my son and I were in a good, safe car before we began our journey. read more

We reserved a car two or three months before our trip with Hertz in La Spezia. When we got there they were telling people that they have no more cars to rent. When we got to the counter they got us a car but did not tell us anything about hey speed monitoring system installed in the car. We were a family of four traveling across Italy and we're taking our sweet time. No speeding. Occasionally a light would come on on the dashboard indicating that we were going over the speed limit and I would immediately back off the gas pedal. Come to find out, every time that light came on on the dashboard I was getting a traffic ticket. We return to the United States and received a Bill for over $650 in traffic violations. Do not go 1 mph over the speed limit in Italy or else he will get fined for it. Also do not rent from these people as they were very disorganized and did not explain the monitoring system installed on the vehicle. What was supposed to be a $50 car rental turn into a $700 car rental. On top of that, I received a voice message that I was unaware of telling us not to come and rent a car from them because they had sold out of all of their cars. If I could give them a zero rating I would. Absolutely awful. I also have video of one of the employees arguing with a customer who they told they did not have a car for after she had made reservations well in advance also. read more
