I had read very important to video tape your rental prior to leaving lot. The lot was 2-3 stories down a parking garage and dark, so we took to hotel and videotaped the car thoroughly so we wouldn't be blamed for any damage. When we returned the car we did the same and walked around with the guy to let him see. All was okay and he put no new damage. Our only complaint is when servicing other languages please have a way to communicate.

Very disappointing experience with Autovia. The car we…read morereceived in Naples was already in poor condition, with various signs of existing damage and wear. This made it particularly important to be able to clearly establish which damage was already present. After returning the car, I was charged €132 for alleged damage to a wheel/rim that I strongly dispute having caused. I disputed the charge through VISA/Worldline. Autovia confirmed in writing that they submitted "all the necessary evidence" during the dispute procedure. Nevertheless, the case was closed in my favour and the charge was reversed. You would expect that to be the end of it. Instead, Autovia started pursuing me directly for the same €132, repeatedly sending payment demands, increasingly short deadlines and threats of possible legal action. Their latest demand gave me only 48 hours to pay. So after receiving a car that was already in poor condition, I have now spent months dealing with a disputed €132 damage claim - even after the VISA dispute was closed in my favour. Based on my experience: never again. If you rent from Autovia, take detailed photos and videos of absolutely everything when collecting and returning the car.

I was kind of blackmailed with the surcharge at pick up... so basically "pay land ride or walk". Really not a friendly counter employee and rules and foot notes hidden in their terms and conditions which in my case I could not review in advance as my booking and pre paid fare transited through one of the main resellers (Cartrowler). So be aware of this. I could not get the extra fees reimbursed.... And they'd help desk email contact took more than 2 weeks to reply to my initial complains... and I had to write twice. Car hired was good despite they tried to assign me a diesel car at first which I strictly refused as I paid and booked a petrol one which does not create issues getting in any city center. Never again.

They have store locations within the airport that have the brand merchandise that you can purchase prior to your flight. The airport is well organized but no where as glam and glitzy as the Milan Malpensa airport.

Since the airport office of Maggiore is 'only' open until midnight, I sent them an email to find out whether it would be possible to pick up the car later in case the flight is delayed. A few hours later, I received this helpful email reply: "Please, add the flight number to your reservation if you still haven't done so [I have] and we will wait for you maximum until 2 am." This is great service which isn't a given even in 2017!
